Lies of P - PlayStation 4

I’m not a gamer, I purchased for my adult son who plays many video games. He put this on wish list for Christmas, and he was surprised how much he likes this game. He has told me before he likes games that require skill and make you think about things. He likes a challenge and he’s difficult to please when it comes to video games. He often complains of poor design. He says this is one of his favorite all time games, along with final fantasy. I asked him what he likes the most. He says the weapons have variety, and build variety. The music is good. What he likes the least he said is the final boss character enemy. He said it’s poorly designed and not well thought out. So I’m giving 5 stars just because it’s one of his favorite games. It entertains him for now. He thinks there need to be more thought put into video game design. He says older games have more thought put into the design.

Take a handful of Bloodborne and mix it with a dash of Sekiro and you get the base of Lies of P. On top of that base lies a fantastic game that is also unique in its systems and quality of life improvments. Fast and fluid gameplay, unique weapon customization, very quick load times, and a cast of interesting npcs and enemies make this game one of the most enjoyable experiences Ive had in quite some time. That is not to say everything is perfect however and one major issue is the difficulty spike. There are many instances of even just regular enemies having massive attack strings that feel endless, shredding your health in seconds or unblockable fury attacks that can only be dealt with by timing a parry that can lead to practicaly being one shot and all of this can become incredibly frustrating. Despite the frustration however I couldnt recommend this game enough. It may not change opinions on the soulslike formula but if you are already a fan this game is more then worth the time and effort.

The game is the absolute best Maso/Core "souls like" to date. There are some interesting additions to a very close to the souls formula. There are some odd intriciacies and design choices that also make it uniquely its own.Its a gorgeous masterpiece for an inexperienced studio. Defnitely GOTY grade offering and in some regard surpassing its inspiration. Especially as it relates to music in game.That said, it IS an inexperienced dev and as such there are many problems that should be worked out. Like the recent "Patch 1.04 overwrites your existing save file, AND cloud saves effectively deleting your save file" and odd optimization and QoL issues.

Lies of P pegou os melhores mecanismos dos jogos "Souls like" e fez um jogo quase perfeito em termos de jogabilidade. O mundo também é muito bem feito e interessante de se explorar. Há muito tempo não curto tanto um novo lançamento, recomendo muito!
