Want your drink kept warm no problem. ideal for busy days in the office when you get cup of coffee and everytime you go to drink it, its COLD so you put the fridge cooler/warmer on the heat setting and bingo your coffee is kept warm and you can sit back and relax enjoy another boring meeting or complete tons of work knowing you dont have to drink a vile cold coffee or tea. equally it works the other other way. HOT in the office need a cold drink, switch the machine over to cool and you will enjoy a nice cool can of whatever you fancy. I would also think this would be great for keeping medicines cool, i wish i had one six months ago, when i had to keep mine in a fridge. if i had this back then i didnt need to get up to get my meds, it would have been by myside instead. ok its small shame would have loved a bigger one. BUT it is what it is and for the price i am not complaining. I was shocked at how quick it cooled down, and how hot it got, lets put it this way when i put my finger on the plate it came out quicker then that as it was hot lol. nice little item to have around on holiday in the home, and at the office. i have no complaints. Yes I tested it. how long it will last i cant say, but for now i am happy.

It's really small which is exactly what I wanted. It's quite noisy but doesn't keep me awake. I use it to keep medication cold and it definitely does the trick. The first couple of weeks the plate actually froze and I was worried that the medication would freeze but it was ok. The plate is now clear of ice and it's still keeping the medication cool. I'm not sure how long it will last but it's doing what it needs to do so far.

Bought for storing medicine when travelling. Although the cooling plate inside gets very cold, the overall inside temperature only fell 2 degrees below the outside temperature. This test was carried out by placing most of the body of the fridge inside an insulated bag and allowing a couple of hours with switch ON before measuring the temperature. The body of the mini fridge is very thin plastic, hence poorly insulated. Sent back for refund.

I bought this to keep my prescription eye drops cool by my bedside. It works well for that purpose. My only minor niggles are the fan can be noisy if it's kept on a hard surface -- I now keep it on the carpeted floor beside the bed and can hardly hear the fan any more. Also, the cooling element tends to become quite damp, especially when the air is humid. I keep a pad of folded paper towel on it to minimize that problem. I have not tried using it to cool a drink can so I cannot comment on its ability to do that.
