this is the one you want
I ordered a different immersion blender first, and ended up returning it. This was my 2nd attempt, and it's the one! I use this when i travel to make protein shakes in my hotel room. What a game changer! it's quiet, had multiple speeds, easy to clean, lightweight, and JUST RIGHT.

Does the job pretty well
Been using this almost daily for smoothies while I decide what blender to choose. It isnt great at blending ice, but if you spend enough time it will get the job done. Does well with frozen fruit if not packed too much. You can let off the power button to apple less pressure or press it down for full speed. The container it comes with looks like it wears down pretty easily as it already has some scratches and marks after use, so don't expect too much longevity from that. Works well with soups and is very convenient to just blend straight from cooking dish. All in all, worth the purchase!

I have never used an immersion blender before so I can't compare it to any other products, but this one exceeded my expectations. What surprised me was how easy it was to control. I was expecting it to be like a hand mixer that caused the contents of the bowl to go crazy, but there's no wobble to the blender and barely a disturbance to the contents of the bowl. The thing was intuitive to set up and use (I didn't use instructions). Just put it together, plug it in and press the button. It blended the contents nicely!
