I bought this book for my mother in law for Christmas, as she really enjoys trivia, but was unpleasantly surprised to find out that it is a book from the UK. While this would be fine for most books, this is not so great for a trivia book, especially the questions about sports, entertainment, celebrities, etc., because most of it pertained quite a bit to people/events popular in the UK that my family knew nothing about. I was pretty disappointed, as I thought I looked into this book pretty extensively and didn't see anything about it being a book from the UK when I bought it. Would have been nice to know ahead of time!

Ordered as a gift, but it was larger than anticipated and too heavy to post, so kept it for myself and had a different edition in the same series sent direct as the gift!

This was for a gift - a stocking filler. I had a quick look at some of the questions. It is an old edition and so some of the questions were a bit dated and irrelevant but still lots to use for setting quizzes or just to bone up ready for the next one. At the special offer price of £3.99 can't complain, but wouldn't have paid full price.

Perfect for picking up trivia questions which I publish in our monthly newsletter. When sorting out our library in our residential apartments I found an old pub quiz book but it was rather outdated, published 1998, so needed to update. This is just the job.

Nice range of questions. Good practice for avid quizzers. Have bought a second copy for friend.
