Solid motherboard for r5 1600
Great solid motherboard, works well with my r5 1600, nice modern bios which is packed with many features, ram speed also stable at 2800mhz, only negative is it just has 1 fan header but this can be sorted out with a splitter, overall great budget board

ASUS Prime B350M-A motherboard
Great motherboard for Ryzen CPUs. All the key features are included in this mATX board, including these internal connectors:4 x DDR4 RAM slots (taking up to 3200 MHz memory),4 x SATA 6Gb/s ports (which is enough for me),1 x M.2 socket 3 (SATA / PCIE),1 x 4-pin Chassis fan connector (as well as the CPU fan connector)1 x USB 3.0 connector for two front panel USB 3.0 ports2 x USB 2.0 connectors for four front panel USB 2.0 portsAnd these rear I/O ports:1 x PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports1 x HDMI port1 x DVI-D port1 x D-Sub port1 x LAN (RJ-45) port2 x USB 3.1 ports4 x USB 3.0 ports3 x Audio jacks (8-channel audio output)There are some amber LEDs on the board, which pulse slowly... which I'd rather not have on the board (since I have a blue LED fan in the case), but they are not too overpowering. The original BIOS shipped with this board was able to support my Ryzen 3 2200G processor, and updating the BIOS to the latest version was straightforward.Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Wouldn't reccomend
Had to use the HDMI port on my GPU, it only had one fan connector so had to buy an adapter and only one of my screws were long enough to reach the inside of my case. Will be replacing when I upgrade CPU

Screws broken
When I was using this board while unscrewing the slot for the cpu cooler 2 of the screws did not work now I cannot use this board. I had normal expectations for this board not expecting anything too fancy but when you simply cant use it in the first place it is terrible. Extremely dissapointed in this board

So far a great Motherboard
Had this motherboard installed for about 2 hours and I'm blown away.I've built a budget system with 16gb Vengeance ram and an AMD A8 9600 Apu. I originally started with a Gigabyte AX370-dsh mobo that I regret wasting £70 on. This B350 has outperformed it straight out the box. Can't review any sort of durability here but my intentions from the start were to overclock this processor as I am using it without a GPU and the Gigabyte board would not allow this. It constantly throttled the processor to it's lowest clock speed when put under any sort of use, the features in the bios were limited and I could not get around it. Gigabyte themselves were pretty useless in helping and eventually, after a month and trying all the different bios versions that board packed, it wouldn't boot past the splash screen. This Asus mobo seems massively better. I've seen a video on YouTube of somebody overclocking this processor on this mobo to 4.1ghz without any hassle. I haven't tried that yet but by simply selecting an overclock mode in bios(whilst trying to find the xmp profile for my ram) it automatically overclocked to a seemingly stable 3.9ghz, I've ran a cinebench test and prime 95 stress test(only for 30mins so far) and had no issues. I can't see it being a problem pushing further but I think that will take more tinkering in the bios. This has all been done with air cooling, using a deepcool gammaxx 400 and 5 daisy chained(only one chassis fan port) Arctic pwm fans and it hit a CPU temp of about 40°c.So far the only thing I've not been too happy about is the lack of fan headers but you can easily use a port to connect more or use a daisy chain system to connect more.Very happy with this mobo so far and when it comes to upgrading I will definitely be buying an Asus board again, Gigabyte have lost a customer here
