I used to use a standard dipping belt for hip belt squats. But that became very uncomfortable, because a standard dipping belt is not designed to be used that way. So I decided to buy this hip belt squat. First time I used it, I was immediately able to handle more weight, because nothing was digging into me. This sits nicely on top of your hips. no pressure on your lower back.It allows you do to very heavy hip belt squats completely comfortably. If you want to really train your legs to the maximum this is what you need. Because it takes the lower back out of the movement, you can really fully fatigue your legs.If you have back injury, then this is the only way you can really train your legs. Even if your back is completely healthy, I would still do this to avoid back strain or degeneration in your later years.I find it trains the legs more completely than the leg press. The way I use this is with a barbell and the landmine attachment (do a youtube search for 'landmine hip belt squats').Worth the price.

La ceinture est bien mais les coutures sont mal faites au niveau de l’écusson de la marque. Aussi les coupes de la sangle sont brulés pour pas qu’elle ne s’effilochent mais je trouve que c’est mal fait et plutôt coupant.Le problème principal est l’asymétrie entre la sangle de gauche et de droite. Il y a 1,5cm de plus d’un côté. Pas très sérieux pour le prix… pas d’autre choix que de renvoyer et re commander en espérant avoir de la meilleure qualité.

The spud belt lives up to its reputation. A little slow on shipping but it is what it is. I finished my homemade belt squat a week ago and waited patiently. Totally worth the wait! Highly recommended for cable, or static belt squat machines.
