Disappointed
I bought these laces for my two younger children as they have issues with their fine motor skills and therefore cannot tie their laces.I was expecting these laces to be great based on the reviews and the price but I am disappointed. The lace itself is of a good quality however the clip is not. I was expecting the clip that is supposed to hold the lace in place to be a toggle similar to those on my sleeping bag covers. Ie: that you push the button down to move the lace through and then it holds itself in place. Unfortunately this is not the case and the lace simply comes undone as soon as you start walking, or somethimes, even before. The lace came straight out of the end clip as soon as I tried to show my little one how to use his lace, meaning I had to pry open the clip with a flathead screwdriver so I could re-attach the lace and try again. The laces only just fitted my children's shoes, (they are aged 8 and 9 and a size 1) so I'm not sure if they would fit an adults shoe although they are quite elastic.

Stretchy laces- work really well
I do triathlons so like laces that I don’t have to tie (saves time) and don’t have to worry that they might come undone while I am running or cycling. These were easy to thread through the loops and eyelets of my running shoes and (more than ) long enough. Others have commented on it being difficult to “snap” the little plastic gripper on the end of the laces. Just make sure you have pushed each lace to the side of the gripper , there is a little “channel” for each lace to fit into. Don’t have the laces in the middle of the gripper.Excuse my dirty running shoes (in the photo) they recently did a 15 mile run through peat bogs , over rocks and streams. The elastic laces were pretty good at keeping my shoes on my feet despite the rough conditions. There were a couple of occasions where my shoes were almost sucked off my feet, but it was easy enough just to push my feet back into my shoes without having either to stop or to fiddle about with tying laces.I would happily buy these again and happily recommend them to others. In summary they speed up the process of putting on shoes, keep my shoes securely on my feet, there’s no danger of tripping on a loose lace or having a lace tangle in a bike pedal and I like the variety of cheery colours on offer.

No tie Elastic Lace System
First time I came across elastic laces was in a pair of trainers and found them really comfortable . Now I have difficulty bending I decided to replace my tie laces with these Phoenix ones. It takes a minute more to fit than conventional laces and are really supporting you can fit them tight or slightly loose and hold the tongue of your footwear and the back and slide foot in , job done. These are a great idea for fit active people or us oldies. They come in different colours as well.

Great product, really helps make life easier
great stuff, wanted something simple for dog walking shoes where navigating wet grass and a minefield of other dog eggs means you want to rinse your shoes off before touching the laces, wet laces are a pain in the hoop at the best of times, so this means you can easily tighten and loosen them in seconds. thereby eliminating the swearing bit while you balance like a drunk crane on one leg while the dog thinks you are some kind of entertainment parade in their honor and jump up at you like life isn't complex enough already. Some would say you could just sit down and take the shoes off, but those people either don't have a wife that complains about mud and dog eggs on the carpet... or they ignored her un-subtle hints about it to the point she left them. So I went down the easy to remove route and it makes life easier and quieter as a result

I elected to leave the laces loose and this seems fine.
Just installed in my new balance vazee coast shoes - the ends are a little thick which made pushing them through the laceholes a bit tricky, but other than that, am really liking these. They seem to have just the right amount of elasticity, holding the shoe on firmly without over-doing it, but still plenty of stretch to put on/take off.I couldn't quite see the point of the little clip that's supposed to go on the end of the laces - it doesn't fit without cutting off the plastic tips (which I didn't really want to do) and in any case, there doesn't seem to be any way of then attaching the clip to the bottom lace to stop it from bobbing around when running for example. Maybe I'm missing something? I elected to leave the laces loose and this seems fine.

Almost perfect
I have bought two pairs of these in orange and one in blue. The second pair was for something other than shoes and left me with one lace extra. This was lucky because on the plastic clip at the bottom of one of the first pair deformed when I tried to clip it on. No amount of straightening would make it clip securely although it never actually broke. In the end I had to use the spare clip from my second pair. All the other clips have worked fine. Pity you can't get spare parts.Once the laces are on they work fine. On my gym and bike shoes I can take a shoe off by just loosening the clip and pulling the shoe off.

Autism friendly
My son is autistic and very particular about how his shoes and socks feel, especially how tight the laces are tied. This means that although he CAN do his laces up himself it takes AGES to get them to the right tightness and he sometimes does and undoes and redoes them several times. Not brilliant for getting ready for PE class or getting to school on time! These laces speed up the process greatly which means less stress for all involved. They are easy to install and work well. The only small issue we've had is that one of the clips at the end doesn't seem to clip completely closed for some reason, but looking at other reviews I may just superglue it closed as it shouldn't need to be opened ever...

Great, exactly what I expected when I ordered them.
Work exactly as advertised. Only minor niggle is that the laces are rather rigid, so the couple of inches left over after pulling them tight flaps about rather than just lying flat as 'normal'laces would. Still they fully solve the problem they were bought to resolve, training shoes who's laces always used to work loose.
