Neewer can be hit or miss as most of us know by now, but boy do they know how to make a chunk of metal. This baseplate feels solid, and is a super simple way to get your camera on rails and start building your rig. I put a PGYtech baseplate on there for easy access to handheld shots when I need them. If you tend to take your camera on and off of your rig I recommend you do the same. The rail mount thumbscrews feel super secure, and you can pull them out to rotate them without tightening or loosening, which for something like this is all but essential to get your rig feeling solid without thumbscrews getting in the way. Overall a very good product. What you see is what you get.

Liked the fact I could position the Camcorder further forward to mount the microphone on the camcorderinstead of the Cage.
