Love this Best Friend's Little Sister Small Town Series Starter
I absolutely loved Into the Tide by Laura Pavlov; it is an incredible best friend’s little sister love story. It is the first book in her Cottonwood Cove series. Into the Tide is the first book that I read by Laura Pavlov, but it will not be the last, she is an amazing storyteller. It was impossible to put Into the Tide down and I loved every moment on every page. It filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? I really enjoy how the book is told in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. My favorite part of the book is how Laura Pavlov incorporates the picture on the cover into the love story. Into the Tide is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud. My favorite moments are the ones that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Into the Tide is filled with such moments, and with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a love story, Laura Pavlov did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. I love how Laura Pavlov managed to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong, sassy woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy man. Into the Tide is the story of Hugh Reynolds, manager of Reynolds’ Bar and Grill, Burgers and Brews, and Garrity’s and his best friend, Travis’s little sister, Lila James, recent college graduate. Lila returns home to Cottonwood Cove for the summer following her graduation from Northwestern University to help Hugh with the business side of Reynolds’ Bar and Grill, before returning to Chicago in September to start a job at True Solutions. Lila’s main reason for coming home was to get her father into rehab for his alcohol and drug abuse. Travis does not want Lila in Cottonwood Cove long term and does not want her to have anything to do with their father. I love the Disney nicknames that they give one another. Lila moves into Hugh’s extra bedroom following an incident involving her father. I love the chemistry between Lila and Hugh. Conversation between Lila and Hugh flows so easily, I love that both Lila and Hugh share secrets with one another that they have not shared with anyone before. As Lila and Hugh spend time working together and crossing off items in her Snow (Hugh’s nickname for Lila) Day notebook, things change between them. Hugh is not interested in a relationship with Lila because of his friendship with Travis and keeps their relationship a secret. Neither one is willing to admit their true feelings for each other knowing that Lila will be heading to Chicago at the end of summer. Conversation between Lila and Hugh flows so easily, with innuendos and playful banter, and Hugh constantly flirts with Lila. Some conversations between Lila and Hugh are truly heartbreaking, make sure you have your Kleenex nearby. I love everything that Hugh does for Lila to help her cross off items in her Snow Day notebook. I love the last item on the list that Lila added without showing Hugh. A heart-breaking surprise plot twist occurs, which changes things between them. I love all the changes that Hugh is willing to make in his life to have a life and a future with Lila, wherever that may be. Travis’s reaction to Hugh telling him about his relationship with Lila is priceless. I love the heart-to-heart conversation that Lila has with Hugh’s mother, Alana, who is a therapist. I love the Reynolds family text thread and the texts between Hugh and Lila. I loved that Into the Tide is more than just a romance, there are issues that both Lila and Hugh are facing that need to be resolved. I love how the storylines get so beautifully resolved. I love how Hugh creates a list of his own and takes Lila’s notebook with him so she can check off the last item she added. I love the ending of their love story. My favorite part is the epilogue and how it goes above a happily ever after with Hugh’s proposal and the significance of the location. I love how the epilogue hints at whose love story is next in the series. My favorite part was the bonus scene download that details the treasure hunt that Hugh creates for Lila and the location that the last clue leads Lila. Into the Tide is filled with poignant and bittersweet moments as well as plot twists that I have come to love and expect in a love story and was not disappointed with Laura Pavlov’s delivery of those items. I love the characters and the family dynamic in Into the Tide, the characters feel like family and friends, especially Lila’s relationship with her friends Del, Ria and Sloane. I enjoyed all the interactions between the Reynolds siblings, it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. I love the descriptions of the Cottonwood Cove location. I loved all the characters in Into the Tide, and I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Into the Tide, who does not love a best friend’s little sister love story. Highly recommend this incredible love story and am so looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

Loved Hugh and Lila
Into the Tide is the first book in the Cottonwood Cove Series and I loved this book. Laura upped the spice in this series. Loved Hugh and Lila, and it had all the tropes. Nothing like a good small town, forced proximity, workplace, brothers BF, slow burn, roommates, Virgin heroine with sexy, steamy banter and a swoonworthy hero to keep the pages turning.Lila and her brother had a rough childhood. The Reynolds family was always there for them when their own family wasn’t. But, Lila was off limits for Hugh. He tried so hard to resist her, but working together made that difficult. Hugh was such a swoonworthy alpha. Always protective of Lila in more ways than one. I loved their chemistry, their banter, the ups and the downs of this story. Definitely kept me on my toes. And, who doesn’t love a good fling and a list of adventures check off. Over time, they didn’t realize that it turned into so much more. I loved that Laura kept this book funny, sexy, sassy, full of banter between Lila and Hugh but also the siblings interactions. I highly recommend the book and audiobook. Connor Crais and Mackenzie Cartwright do an amazing job with the narrations. And, yes I highly recommend continuing the series.

Into the Tide
However, after being away for four years for college, she is not little any longer. She developed later than most women her age so, those four years were good for her. She is even more gorgeous than when she, left if that is even possible. The best collegiate female distance runner out there. She’s a national champion, an accomplishment not many have ever achieved. All while, carrying a straight ‘A’ in college. Being a runner caught the eye of her future boss, he used to be a runner. Her grades got them interested in, her talents for detail, and perseverance. Garnering her an internship, and then her job. She got a job offer at one of the largest Fortune 500 companies around. The thing is she doesn't want, to go back to, Chicago to work. Lila doesn't want, to be a part of the rat race in one of, the highest crime rate cities in the states. Her dad is a train wreck, but that doesn’t stop, Lila from wanting, to help him. She’s too loyal, stubborn, and good to be dealing with his stuff. As much as, Travis wants her, to come back home, he doesn't want her, to get sucked into his dad’s BS. She deserves better, more. Travis doesn’t understand why she’s insisting on putting, her life on hold. He doesn't want her, to stay with her dad so he talks to, Brex and, Hugh. Hugh offers his casita. This doesn’t have them only working together, living together, and hanging with the same friends together, but so much more.Lila is having the time of, her life being home. All except for every single time, her brother opens his mouth, to tell her or someone else that, she will be leaving at the end of summer. She is realizing how hard she has been working, to outrun the pain of what happened after, her mom was killed by a drunk driver. Now, life is better, no more training, no more studying, and being able, to be her true self. She even starts, a Snow Day List of things she has never had a chance, to do like all her friends have. With her V-card being, all bold letters on that list. And, guess who the lucky man is, that is in her line of sight? Yup, and you will need, to see how the two decide, to take the first step. Also, how they bring their relationship, to the light of day. Love their chemistry.

Everything I needed
POV: First person / DualGenre: Brothers Best Friend / Forbidden / Small Town / Roommates-to-Lovers / Forced Proximity / Boss & EmployeeInto The Tide was absolutely everything I needed all in one book, it was the first book by Laura Pavlov that I’ve read and boy oh boy I’ll be going back for more! Into The Tide follows Hugh Reynolds and his best friend Travis’ younger sister, Lila.Lila has just graduated College and is back in Cottonwood Cove for the Summer, she has a few things to tick of her ‘Snow List’, working for her brothers best friend and helping him sort out his restaurant businesses, get her Dad into rehab, and finally lose her virginity… When she’s forced to move into Hugh’s Casita the tension between her and Hugh is palpable and she begins to think maybe he can help her tick some things off her list…Hugh and Lila's relationship was so natural and well-written, Laura’s incredible writing swept me away and kept me utterly captivated. The chemistry between them was fun and electric, and that creek scene was absolutely unforgettable!Into The Tide is a slow-burn romance that had all the angsty deliciousness that created an enthralling story. It’s was swoony, sexy and heartfelt.Into The Tide is the first book in the Cottonwood Cove series that will follow each of Hugh’s siblings, his baby sister Georgia is next, but truthfully I’m already dying to read his oldest brother Cage’s story but I have a feeling Laura will keep him until last!5⭐️

Best Friend 's Little Sister Romance
Anyone who loved the Honey Mountain series will love this latest small town series and meeting Dylan and Wolf again was a plus. This series opener features Hugh ( Dylan's cousin) and Lila. Travis, Lila's older brother and Hugh's best friend, is rather overbearing, though this is explained several times throughout the book. The story takes a while to get going, but is romantic once it gets going. I had an issue with the use of Karen as a term of abuse. This was irritating and could alienate all readers named Karen everywhere. It was very lazy and insulting.

Brothers Best Friend
I loved this Brother’s Best Friend/ Small town by Laura. I love how all the characters are strong and know what they want. I enjoy the small town, big family tropes. I can’t get enough of Laura’s work.
