Great For Outdoor Use
Few people really like rust much less enjoy dealing with it.After dealing with rust for many years, I began to look for stainless steel fasteners and other hardware. These snap hooks are stainless by description and by passing the magnet test. The rope "loop" is nice and large at approximately 1.4" minimum opening distance. That size would allow it to slip over a pipe, bolt or rod in addition to accepting larger ropes. But, a large rope might be stronger than the snap hook. The bolt opening will allow a 3/8" diameter rod to pass with room to spare. But, half-inch is too large to pass. The swivel and bolt operate freely thanks to the clearances designed into them. These will be used to replace two plated snap hooks that are past their prime.

Work good
Works like it should, only complaint which is a small one is there is some extra room anywhere there are moving parts, more than should be

Good quality snap hooks
I got these for scuba diving because they're 316 stainless steel and because the larger eye is very helpful when using these with thick neoprene gloves on as you can put your pinky and possibly even ring finger in the eye while opening and closing the gate, giving you much more control and making it less likely to be dropped.Pros:Good quality materialAll moving parts move freelyCons:They're smaller than I expected. I though the shaft between the eye and the gate would be longer (my fault for not converting the metric size listed in the product description to imperial). But I do find that, even though my hands aren't that large, it's still a bit of a challenge to operate the gate while holding just the shaft. I absolutely have to have my fingers through the eye in order to make it work.Price - at $12 for two these come out to $6 each, which seems a bit steepBottom line: if you need bolt snaps with a large eye, then these seem to be generally good quality. Just be aware of the size and make sure it meets your needs.
