Very pleased with this scratcher for my cat. Doesn’t seem to shed like the normal sisal rope ones seem to. My cat isn’t interested in going inside the barrel but he enjoys good scratch on it. As it is barrel shaped this a larger surface area for him to scratch on which I hope will increase its longevity along with the surface itself seeming quite hard wearing. My cat is a large male oriental, so has a very long reach and is very strong, he hasn’t pulled it over. Odd times it has wobbled a little but it seems stable enough.

Excellent value for money!! I bought it so my cat could have a taller, sturdier scratch post but she also loves to play in it!! I have seen smaller versions in well known pet stores at nearly double the price. This is well made and my cat certainly approves!!!

High quality, my cats have been using it from the barrel for two years.This scratching barrel is of high quality and my two cats have loved it, they love to scratch and sleep on it.I think it is a good option if you have more than one cat as it has enough space.I have been using this barrel for two years, my cats have scratched it and to this day it has not come off as you can see in the photos.It is stable even by wobbling a few times my cats jump up and down very fast to play on it but it has not fallen to this day as it remains stable on the ground.The price is quite good considering the durability of the product.Highly recommended, it is durable and easy to clean with a vacuum cleaner.
