I have to admit, this is something you have to get used to. It takes a few minutes getting the hang of this little tool. I followed the directions, twisting the two handles against the grain and I couldn't get any hair to catch at first. So I kept trying then all of a sudden...whoa. I felt something there. Kept going and it caught more hair! This is so much easier than threading because it grabs more hair at a single time and pulls it out. The instructions say that you will feel a tingle. Ok, admit it, this is more than a tingle. I wouldn't go so far as pain, but heck, we are essentially pulling hair out of out face, right? One tip when you are trying to remove the tiny hairs above your lip right below your nose:twist it short and fast. This area is very sensitive and always causes me to sneeze, but if you twist it super fast, the sensitivity is not so bad. Other word of advice? Do that part last, after you get the hang of this little tool first. I figure the "tingling" sensation will lessen with continual usage.

It works with little to no effort and the spring catches even the smallest finest hairs.It is painful though just like using any other epilator, however this gives you a much smoother finish. No peach fuzz anymore.I haven't tried this on the eyebrow region so I cannot talk to precision, but it works great on the chin and upper lip areasI was afraid of how my skin would react to this tool but so far no adverse reaction!

When if first arrived I tried to test it on my self but I could not get in the hang of it.My girlfriend took it and it took her no time to learn how to use this properly.She says it works as it should and it is not really painful to use.You only feel a little pinch but that's obvious.. you're pinching out your hairs :)Definitely recommended.

I have only used this product once (just received today) and am already in love! To address previous reviews that said it was painful....well, yes! But no more painful than waxing or threading, other methods that remove hair at the route, and I was expecting this. However, remove it at the route it did and it was so satisfying and quick and I can do it in my own home, so very happy with this product!

I am so relieved I don’t have to go to salon to get my hair done anymore! If you are like me you know the embarrassment of waxing your hair in front of the whole salon while others are there to do their nails and hair. It is so easy to use I play around with it while watching my routine television shows. Well at least it takes my mind off the pain.

This is my first spring epilator, but I have been considering this for months.The directions are great, but this is not intuitive. I had to watch a YouTube video. I suggest googling ""Spring Epilator You Tube"" and you will get a few videos. Once I watched the video, there was a very easy learning curve. I had to practice a few times, and then it was easy.

Clean the spring with alcohol. Hold it with two hands with a slight bend. Roll it between your thumb and forefinger upwards and downwards. I found in most areas, it was more effective in an upward motion. But if you roll it back and forth it will grab additional hair from the area.

Ouch. Anyone considering this should be aware, it is NOT pain-free. Be prepared for your eyes to water. But, it sure does work. I'm building up my tolerance, and I only use it on my chin and upper lip. Its quick, and it gets tons of hairs in one swoop, which is pretty satisfying.
