UGEARS Ghost of Kyiv Ukrainian fighter

This was such an amazing kit. It was just intricate enough to grab attention, but not so complex that left one feeling frustrated. The attention to detail was impressive.

Great model to build

This is a fantastic build with many moving features. Kudos to Ugears designers and production engineers. It's not really too difficult but like all UGears kits, concentration and patience is a must. There's almost no sanding alerts but experience says if parts move, wax and sand. The fishing line and knots are probably the trickiest because the mono that comes with it is very thin and supple, hard to grip, bend and tie knots. I went and got some Trilene10# test fishing line. It was perfect. Very intriguing tensegrity model that honors the Ukrainian people and their will to protect their country from oppression. Highly recommend.

I got this kit to do with my daughter - we've done one or two other of these UGEARS wooden kits, and we love the fact that they are 99% wood (eco-friendly, plastic-free), and yet they still manage to put moving parts and such in them. This kit is very, very cool - the concept of this floating fighter plane is just awesome - there truly is awe as you build it and figure out just how they accomplish it. That said, it is very difficult - it required my parental help/supervision to get through, and we broke at least one piece of it during the construction process, and even after getting it assembled it is very, very temperamental and prone to falling apart.

Great kit, when it comes to wooden kits, I consider UGEARs to be only second to Rokr purely due to the limited spare pieces they provide. The kit itself is great though, and the instructions are clear. I am quite fond of the ingenuity to use the "floating table" trick to give the illusion of the plane floating. Overall would recommend.

This was fairly easy to assemble! The pieces were easy to put together and fit pretty well. The quality is the same as other wooden puzzles / 3d puzzles and am very pleased with the appearance!

This is a very nice 3-D puzzle. The pieces come in 4 small (approx 6 x 14 in) sheets of laser-cut plywood and come apart easily. They include a substantial step-by-step instruction book that is printed in at least 7 different languages. The pieces fit together snugly and they even include a small wax candle piece to rub on the tight pieces to ease them together. You really need to take your time with this one to get the best results so leave yourself plenty of time. Very well made and I look forward to putting together more of them.

Every Ugears kit I have built has been satisfying but the symbolism behind this one made it even more of a pleasure, The counterbalanced 'flying' mount is a bit fiddly to get right but an ingenious design that looks great when displayed.
