Watlux Carbon Fiber Pool Cue Shaft Blank Stick Taper 1.5 mm Blank Blanks Billiards Tube – Black

This pool stick shaft is silky smooth on the outside and plenty rough enough on the inside to add your Joint and Ferrell. It's perfectly straight with what I'd call a Uniform Taper from the joint end down to about 3 inches from the tip end. It comes with a 2" long foam vibration dampener inserted at the Joint End of the shaft.I use to make Custom Pool Cues as a hobby and this Carbon Shaft is well made. If you're a cue maker or you would like to try your hand at preparing and adding a Carbon Fiber shaft to the Butt of your Cure then this is a good choice and value at this price for Retail.I personally would leave out the Foam Dampener and use this Shaft on a Jump/Break Cue with a Phenolic Ferrell and Stainless Steel Threaded insert with Phenolic Impact Rings. . It's VERY Firm with almost no deflection that I can detect.I would LOVE to build this shaft out after having it in my hands, but I got this to make a couple of Custom "Fly Whisks". I'll be using this Carbon Shaft as Handle Material for them. A His & Her's set.Pro Tip for removing the foam insert from the inside of the shaft , just blow into the shaft from the tip end to remove it. It comes right out with ease this way.

The shaft arrived quickly, it is a lot rougher than I expected. It took a little longer to built than expected. It is not smooth like other shafts. I will keep it as a spare. At the 30 dollar mark it was worth the cost just for the experiment. Can't get a back up that cheap

In the listing of this product, there is a bullet where seller states that this makes a good gift! A solid carbon fiber tube blank. I know I would consider this a nice gift, but I would guess that most people (including pool players) would find this gift challenging. Mainly because this is an unfinished blank for a shaft.Otherwise, this is a nice solid potential pool shaft. There is no flex in this shaft. It would make an incredible low deflection shaft. The taper is conical, tip is 12.7mm, thickness of wall is 1.8mm. A little different than the specifications on the listing.The surface is fairly smooth and uniform with no seam lines. The surface is matte grey and not as slick as my cutec cynergy shaft.What can this be built into? I think the taper is too conical and thick for a regular playing shaft. It feels like a predator vantage shaft in dimensions. But the taper and stiffness would be really good for a carbon break or jump shaft.Now I'm researching how to build a carbon shaft. Will need to procure ferrule, base plate, and pin. In addition to the tip. Looking forward to the outcome.

This super lightweight cue stick would be great to use if it came with a tip. I have no idea how I missed that. It wasn't clear to me. Perhaps if you are used to getting billiards parts you would know that, but all my other sticks came ready to use. Kinda bummed that I have to get other parts to use it. But it seems like it will be really nice when I do that. I'll have to give an update.

Good product but I was sent the wrong size blank.

The shaft is hollow inside. I'm having a teammate add a joint, ferule, and tip to this for me. I can't wait to try playing with it. It is longer than my Viking Vikore shaft. I think this will add close to 2 inches to my stick. The pro taper is quite long, and I am looking forward to trying this pro taper.

Excellent Quality – A big project and quite a steep learning curve I showed this Carbon Fiber BLANK to a Billiards Aficionado friend of mine. He regularly builds high end Pool Sticks. He said that this is a good high quality carbon fiber blank. He said that it is a lot of really enjoyable work to craft a perfect Pool Stick. I am watching all the instructional videos I can find and the best part is that my expert friend will oversee the build. He will help me pick out the rest of ALL the other parts needed to make a whole Pool Stick.
