This worked great, but only TWICE. The helicopter is easy to control, flies for a long time, does well in light wind and the transmitter has a good range. However the helicopter was weighted towards the back so it drifts backwards when hovering, and flies much better backwards than forwards. The only way to fix this is to add a large amount of extra weight to the front of the helicopter, but it can't really carry much more weight unless you reduce the battery size...But the greatest problem was that after only using it twice it just randomly stopped working for no reason, and any attempt to use it causes it to fly away by itself completely out of control - even if you switch the transmitter off it keeps going - and then after flying very high it just drops out of the sky. So not only is it now completely unusable, any attempt to use it is actually DANGEROUS!

This was actually a Christmas gift for our 4 year old son. (Yes, I realise the recommended age is 14+ on this product, but he was adamant he wanted Santa to bring him a real "flying" helicopter). Spent a long time researching different models, with key criteria being altitude control. easy take off, selectable speeds, durability and in particular battery life. Was a bit sceptical about the described battery life, comparing to other similar products, but I was surprisingly proven wrong, and the charge lasted a lot longer than expected, plus doesn't take too long to recharge. Furthermore, my son managed to get the hang of the controls really quickly, and weeks later it's still working and running well, even after being bashed on the walls and ceilings quite a few times (and shredding the Christmas Tree), so yes very pleasantly surprised on the durability too. If spare parts were readily available for this model, that would be nirvana, unfortunately I don't think they ordinarily sell parts and accessories , but the Vatos support, were fantastic when I contacted them, very friendly, and really go over and above to help out, so big shout out and thank you to the team.

Don’t waste your money on this item. It’s absolutely rubbish. My son only opened this gift last week and it broken with 15 minutes of trying to us it. It’s flimsy doesn’t fly the way it’s supposed to really bad quality. I’m too late for a return! Wish we opened it sooner and got our money back, but after reading the reviews I thought it would be ok. Definitely DO NOT BUY.

Drunkenly bought several "budget" heli's over the years but this one, for once, did exactly what it said on the box.20 mins fly time, recharge just over an hour, stable altitude control and nice and easy controlled flying indoors or outside if there's not a breath of wind.Look after the battery and it will look after you.Brings a smile every time I fly it though the dog has a habit of jumping up and taking a chunk out of a blade every now and again. You can sand the edges back down or fit one of the four spares supplied.No-one seems to sell the battery modules separately but that's the only down side I've found.If I do manage to break it, will definitely buy another but so far has survived numerous collisions with walls, floors and and rather skeptical wife.ENJOY!

I've had a lot of RC Helicopters in the past but this little Helicopter has to be one of the best. Sturdy well made and and easy to control. The battery pack that clips to the bottom of the Helicopter is a great idea and holds a lot of charge about 20 minutes flight time. I don't understand some of the poor reviews I think it's excellent.

This is a superb first model for young children. My 5 year old grandson was able to use it properly after about 30 minutes training. The auto take off and landing and auto height keeping is a critical factor in being able to use this helicopter easily, without it (as in cheaper models) it is almost impossible for a child to use a helicopter. The real 2.4 GHz radio control (NOT infra-red control) is also important as you get a bigger range and don't have to worry about keeping the controller pointing at the helicopter. This is about the cheapest model with all the above facilities and is worth every penny. The lipo battery also gives a good time for playing - its a shame that they don't seem to sell spare batteries
