Megavent Stop Snoring (Medium Size) - 3 sets

These did not open or "flare" my nostrils at all. I have bought other products and find that if there is a flexible connection which gently flares my nostrils then they work....These do not and I can only think that if I bought the large size then I would have to force them into my nostrils and open them up that way. I think that would cause me more irritation than the medium ones do. I have binned them and will look elsewhere. Wasted my money.As another reviewer pointed out the link between the two cups is very weak so they do not afford any pressure outwards to open up the nostrils...its only by pushing these into the nostrils do they open them up...not for me.

Helps you breath but they do not stop you snoring

These seem to be effective and certainly cheaper than their main competitor.They are small hollow rectangular blocks that actually sit inside each nostril - so a little more invasive feeling than their rival brand. Howver they are comfortable and effective and at this price I will continue to use these instead.The more expensive competitor equivalents do not last very long before needing replaced - these seem more robust = perhaps as they rely on in built shape rather than springiness.

This little gadget is brilliant. Due to ill health I take a lot of medication and was snoring and driving my hubby mad as he works long hours and needs his sleep. Because I was conscious of it I was sleeping lightly and not getting much quality sleep at all, so all in all, something had to change, which regularly meant one of us sleeping on the sofa! These little things have solved it. Having read the reviews I was dubious but I didn't really want to use any more medications to try to stop the problem. They work really simply by opening up your nasal passages and so you sleep with your mouth closed and hey presto! no more snoring. Another good thing is some of my medications make my mouth very dry, but using this means I don't sleep with my mouth open so don't have a dry mouth in the morning. Also it was almost cured my bad catarrh! Hubby and I are now sleeping much better and manage to stay in the same bed!

These fit inside the nose and can be shaped with hot water. But I found they were uncomfortable because the plastic is hard when it cools. I didn't sleep well until I pulled them out. The plastic joining the two cups is very weak.

In leaving this review, I've considered:Does the Megavent fit comfortably? - yes, albeit not completely as it's not really usual to have something stuck up your nose;Does it help create a better air flow? - yes, although it won't unblock an already blocked nasal passge;Does it stop the snoring? - unfortunately NO!

I'm not sure I've been using these properly, but I seem to take them out when I do manage to fall asleep. They do for some reason get really uncomfortable at night. But seem to work ok once they are in place initally. I think I'll just give up with all this nose plumbing and just get my nose sorted out !

There are three of these in the box, I've tried 2 of them. One fits better than the other and I definitely get a better night sleep and don't wake up feeling tired when I wear that one, but the other one is a little bit too big for my nostrils and falls out. I've been wearing them for a few weeks now, but they are making my nose sore. I don't understand why the manufacturers have made them rectangular - who has a nose that shape? Some rounded edges would be nice. If there was a smaller size I'd probably give 5 stars.
