Each one comes individually packed (so you can toss one in your handbag or pack one in a school lunch). They are also filling and good value when bought in a six bag offer (same as at the shops). We usually get a pack when buying the rest of our supermarket shop, but over the last 3 weeks there have been none available in Asda or Sainsbury's. I checked Mrs Crimbles website and found they were over £3 per pack, so thought I'd try Amazon.I was delighted to find these on sale, at the same price I would pay in the supermarket, and ordered them immediately. I am so pleased: they came next day, all in good condition with an excellent expiry date (October). He is also quite particular about his food. I was extremely disappointed with this delivery as my son (who is 6) rejected these on the basis that they were \"flat\" and tasted \"grainy\" I thought it might just be one cake, but I have opened all six packets and the whole batch is the same. I tried the cake myself as I was convinced that he was just being his usual particular self, but he is actually right. They do have a slightly grainy texture like there's been too much bicarbonate of soda added to the mix or something and sweeter than it ought to be. I have a sweet tooth and yet it triggered me... \"Oh that's a bit sweet\" still have a nice vanilla taste, but now I have a box of madelines that cost me over £10, my son won't eat and all six packets opened, so I'm going to have to put them on the Olio app and give them away. So now I'm resolved to trying to find a supermarket that sells them so I can do a quality control check before purchase. So disappointed as he's been eating these every morning for over three years and now I'm reluctant to buy them online again as the expense is not something I can bear easily and I currently have 30 cakes and they're not something that my husband and I eat.
