I roll one up pretty tight to store in my desk drawer when I'm ...
I haven't used these in the oven yet, just as a placemat for my glass-top desk at work. The material does not smell weird, the design is very cute, and they are very flexible. I roll one up pretty tight to store in my desk drawer when I'm not using it, and it always rolls back out perfectly flat with no issue.

Great protection for a lift-top cocktail table
These are great on my new lift-top cocktail table. Condensation from drinks does not drip through like with woven placemats so now we can eliminate coasters. I don't have to worry about putting a hot drink or bowl on the wood table causing damage since these are silicone. I just bought two more which I will cut down to place under serving bowls.

Great Stylish Placemats
We were really pleased with these placemats. We wanted some that were easy to clean (dishwasher safe), reasonably priced (not $18 for 1!), and a nice design (not a colorful kids placemat). My wife searched Amazon so many times and could never settle on something she liked until she found found these. We are very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend. We did have some trouble trying to find the right color. The European was a bit lighter than we expected and we could not tell if the Classical American was black or dark brown (it is black). The company was quick to answer our questions and help us choose a color we were happy with. As some comments have mentioned, they are somewhat thin (which we like), and they do not stick to our table (which we also like because we are not worried about it leaving marks on our table). These are a great choice and very stylish placemats.
