Junk!
Piece of junk! I read the reviews and thought... maybe they just got a bad one. Got mine today. Flipped the switch... nothing. Ok, maybe it needs to charge. Plugged in. Blue light came on... 6 hours later I unplugged it. Flip the switch... nothing. Seriously!?Guess #50 needs to be retained and sent to the end of the line! I want my money back or one that works!*Update*Received a new one. It works like I expect it to. Downside is the USB port has issues when you plug it in. You have to really work it to get it in the port. Yes it was aligned correctly. It works, I'll take it. But still 4* because of the port.

Great for pets....and presentations.
I have a dog who can’t get enough of laser point chase! I love that this is rechargeable and the charge really does last! I use it daily and it last weeks. This is so powerful I even use this to get my dog inside and it reaches all the way to the back of my yard. In the video it isn’t even at the half way point.

Happy kitty
Works great. My cat loves it! Super bright red laser and the flashlight and UV light are nice to have too. Love it!

Bright, rechargable, A+!
I got this for my dog, and it’s perfect.Great bang for your buck! Brighter than a laser pointer I had that used 2 AAA batteries. Charge overnight if needed- perfect!Only caveat is it’s unclear from the description if the red is a laser or an LED. I believe it’s a laser because of the way the light looks, and how bright it is, especially compared to the flashlight and UV, which are white dim in comparison.

Great fun for cats, but it has other features too
I bought this as a toy for my two cats, so they could chase the red dot of the laser. They love it! And they’re getting more exercise because of it. The beam is very precise; just a small, bright dot of red light, about the size of a match head. It remains sharp and tiny even when aimed into another room, so it goes a good distance without losing any of its precision. This laser also has two other lights, that can be activated by sliding the on/off button into different positions. The first position is the red laser, the second is for a blue light, which the enclosed instructions say can be used to detect counterfeit money and pet stains, but I haven’t tested either one. The last position is for a regular flashlight, which is very bright (although small), with less range than the red one, but it’s okay. The whole thing is about as big as a slightly elongated lipstick container, and it weights about the same, so it’s small enough to conceal in your hand so your cat doesn’t see that you’re the one holding the light source. It appears well made, and comes in a sleek aluminum carrying case, with with a USB charging cord that’s approximately 6” long. The only drawback I’ve noticed so far is that it can only be recharged by USB, but the directions say you can’t just plug it into a wall adapter. You have to plug it into a lower voltage charge source, like a computer or car charger. That’s very annoying, so I’ve docked it one star for that. I’ll update this review later if anything changes with the quality or performance.

PURR-FECT!
The following opinion is unsolicited review from Kolohe, Denzel and Whisky.YIPPEE! We love this! The sneaky thing about this laser pointer is that the switch is totally quiet, so the laser dot just shows up ANYWHERE without any forewarning. And it goes all over the place. Great exercise; besides loads of fun, we may even lose a bit of weight and start toning up the abs! The old laser thingies (several different types) always clicked on, so we knew what was coming. Not with this one! (And mum loves it because it doesn't require those stupid batteries - just a recharge via USB when needed - and so far, it hasn't been needed in spite of daily usage!)Oh, and we forgot to mention, it also highlights the bad areas where we might have marked our territory, or left remnants of a fur ball. (oops!)

Line up port. Be gentle.
I was given one of these pointers and totally love it. I decided to buy 15 of them to give to my fellow cat volunteers as special thank-you gifts. (The occasion is not important to this review.) Since there had been reviews about problems with the charging port, as a precaution I personally charged each of the 15 pointers with its own charging cord --- after checking to make sure all three lights were working. EVERY SINGLE POINTER was functional and was easily charged! The port is not as sturdy as the one on your phone. Why would you expect it to be? If you fail to align the mini usb plug with the port and then proceed to use force to try to make it fit, IT WILL BREAK. DUH! Remember nursery school? Round pegs go into round holes; square pegs go into square holes. Well, it is the same principle --- the rounded side of the plug goes into the rounded side of the port. Not rocket science, guys! I made up mini instruction sheets, with pictures, and included them in the metal case that each pointer comes in. I included the caution BE GENTLE. Everyone totally loves the pointers --- especially the cats!

Do NOT buy
Got this product two days ago and it's already broken. Initially all three lights worked very well and were very bright. I tried to charge it, and that's when all the problems happened. The port was loose and ended up pushed inside the housing. I tried fixing it and the cheap plastic part that held it in place broke. After that happened two wires broke off the circuit board attached to the charging port and the circuit board attached to the switch dislodged causing the switch to malfunction in the process. It's completely useless now. If you're looking for a laser pen for any reason you are better off buying a better one that will last.
