Wonderful mix, great presentation
Love the album! Love these albums! Presentation is always on point! But for the record, this shipping albums just in bags has got to stop! The first one arrived in a bag and was pretty messed up. The replacement arrived in a bag and is messed up as well, because of course it would be. Fortunately it is only one bent corner instead of three. And its not so bad I'm going to persue another replacement. Album plays fine thankfully, and due to the hdpe inner sleeves I'm sure. Love these albums.

a tune for any mood!
I bought this about a year ago for my house mate's birthday; He loved it and in a way it was a gift to the both of us, since now we both can listen to the ambient and relaxing tunes, whenever we want, without ever annoying each other, since we both love this album so much. It is probably our most played LP. Whenever we have guests over we put this on and get complimented on the choice of music. There is something on this LP for almost everyman's taste; you really can't go wrong buying this.Late Night Tales have been making different mix tapes in collaboration with many wonderful artists in the past couple of years and I would defenitely recommend anyone to check out their other works - though this is probably the best one.

A gem
This is a true gem - Bonobo surprises me each time he releases his albums and even when this is not exactly his music, he did not failed to surprise me. Often, you buy the whole album and you find you only like one song out of 15 songs. This is not that kind of album. The job is professional and Simon Green did not keep his favourite to himself but share with us, thank you! Somehow all of the songs are different but it is suit for latenight winter - and the way it ends with Benedict Cumberbatch reading a poem is just perfect. Now, I would love to have Latenight tale Bonobo 2.

Great music, over-priced vinyl
Music is 5/5, great selection, well mixed, only a couple duds in the bunch, but the vinyl itself is 2/5 at best. The sound quality doesn't sound any better than the digital files, its missing a few songs and the songs are not mixed together like the digital download is, instead there are gaps of silence between all the songs, completely removing the feel of a Late Night Tales mix.Save your money and just buy the digital album, don't bother with the vinyl. It should be labeled "playlist curated by" Bonobo, not "mixed by" Bonobo...

Not quite for me... but still wonderful.
I love love LOVE Bonobo. That said, this album was not quite what I was expecting. A couple of tracks are really nice but, on the whole, this was a bit too slow and sleepy for me. Still, its Bonobo :) Enough said.

Favorite Late Night Tales Album
My favorite Late Night Tales album. I own this and the Belle and Sebastian Late Night Tales albums on vinyl and I must say that this is my favorite out of the two. I love to put it on at night when I'm ready to wind down and chill. The quality of the vinyl is excellent and it plays well. Pick it up if you are interested!

Great mix for day or night
Wonderful selection of tunes. I got turned on to a couple artist as well. I really enjoyed the pacing of this mix. Its a great mix for when you want the mood to stay relatively set for the whole time its on. It is great background music IMO but it is also well suited for active listening. I did not find any of the songs boring for my taste.

Good, but missing tracks.
I really do like all of these LateNightTales releases but a little bummed about this one for the tracks it decided to omit compared to the digital releases.

All the right ingredients
Here's another word of praise. I enjoy introspective, nocturnal mixes and this one does it all for me. The mood, the variety in weaving themes, while remaining silky smooth. It wins in knowing where to ease down and where to take a different turn, or where to provide space for softer tones. There are gentle, elegant threads, the mood is introspective, comforting and affectionate, touching, at times. There are no rough edges to bruise, although there are enough surprises to sustain intensity till the end. One to buy for the special person in your life.

The big write up is followed by a not that great cd
With regards to the write up about this cd I was really looking forward to hearing...however there are a couple of decent tracks but the rest a tad banal.

Best track missing!
The only reason for docking a star is because the vinyl version is missing arguably the stand out track from the digital release, which is Khruangbin's Calf Born In Winter, terrible decision.

Musical perfection
Really deserves more than 5 stars. This is a great collection of tracks and has been my standout album of the summer (it's on as I type right now!) Great to hear the original Didn't I by Darondo (I've love the cover by Negghead and the original tops it). A calf born in Winter by Khruangbin is an absolute gem and I'm hoping they do a load more recordings soon and Peace piece by Bill Evans is a great ending to a great album. Shouldn't have expected anything less than a great selection of tracks by Simon Green

I love Late Night Tales
I chose my rating because I am a fan of Bonobo. This is a very nice chill out CD and it is lovely to hear what they listen to and get their influences from.
