Highlights to Natural
Have used this shampoo for many years when my brown hair was highlighted blonde. Since going natural, I find it continues to work well--it adds a nice brightness to my natural silver/gray color.

May strip darker blonde highlights long term.
I have been using this product for quite a while. At first I was impressed by the way it brought out my blonde highlights, but over time my highlights appeared to get lighter and lighter. This was not ideal for me as I have bothe lighter and darker blonde tones through my hair and the darker tones lifted to almost being indistinguishable from the other lighter tones in my hair. My hairdresser mentioned this to me first and asked me what shampoo I was using. She advised me to be cautious as the product COULD contain an element of purple-type shampoo which would indeed have an effect on blonde. Now I have no idea whether this is the case here, but there is no other reason why my darker tones should lift as much as they have. I would advise anyone with blonde highlights like me to do some investigating on the contents before opting for this shampoo.

Love this product
I just love John Frieda shampoo and conditioner. I've been using it for about 3 years now. I get highlights in my hair all the time and this product just keeps your highlights from not going a brass color. I love it.
