Hope you have small hands, and patience!
*****UPDATE******The seller reached out to me and wanted to make things right. They offered to just give me a full refund since I wasn't entirely happy with how things turned out. This is great customer service. So though my issues still very much existed (and you should read them below before purchasing), I think the seller's great customer service has me upping my rating from a 3-star to a 5-star.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I struggle with what grade to give this light kit. On one hand, it made our family's Rivendell Set look SO cool when it was all done and set up.But the downsides?1. You have to take apart a LOT of your set to get everyone wired correctly before reassembling.2. You have to have tiny hands! I have average sized hands and very often I could not get my hands/fingers in all the little places to run the wires like the person in the instruction videos was doing. I had to take apart MORE of our set than they did just to access.3. Once you set all this up, a lot of the features of Rivendell become inaccessible. For instance, the Rivendell set is made for some large pieces come off so you can better access/see/use the interiors. But once everything is wired, you can no longer do that without running into hidden wires in the way, or wires sealing off areas.4. One of my boards either doesn't work, or I didn't attach it properly. Its a 4 wire splitting board. So 4 lights are thusly not working. Now, ALL the lights are all connected together, so you can't really see for sure what is working and what is not until the very end. You are advised (VERY TEDIOUSLY) to check all 70(???) components before beginning. I did test every single light, but I did not test every single board. So now all I can do it just sadly let 4 lights not work, or take it apart and check every wire/connection around that area, OR reach out to the company and hope I can get a replacement board and still would need to take a lot of stuff apart just to swap boards. Don't know what to do.Get ready to have a LOT of patience. This takes easily 2 hours to wire everything correctly. But it does really really make the set look great.

This does take time!
Once completed this makes the Rivendale set stand out. The instructions do have you test each component before assembling which is roughly 40-50 lights boards and wires to test but it's better safe than sorry. You will need to partially disassemble the set to install the lights but as shown above it is worth it. I did have a minor problem involving the battery box but I reached out to customer service and they sent me a new one very quickly.

Very disappointed!
We ordered this set for my daughter’s birthday. She and her brother (tech specialist) assembled the set successfully. However, after just 2 hours, the lights went out. We're quite sure that the circuit board is bad. I contacted Amazon and they did offer a refund. Unfortunately, the time involved in disassembling the set, packing it up, sending it back to Amazon, ordering a whole new set and spending many more hours assembling it again would make this too daunting an endeavor. We were hoping to just get a replacement circuit board. If we order a new set, our concern is that the same thing would happen again. It’s a beautiful set but seriously, 2 hours of enjoyment is all we get? Very disappointing.

Wiring is weird and the remote doesn't allow a steady light
So, I'm not entirely sure what's wrong, but almost half of my set (the area with the waterfall, bridge, gazebo, and forge) is not lighting up. I followed the instructions exactly, but that area still won't light up, possibly from a faulty cord or faulty power board. The side of the set that does light up looks amazing; I just wish that It worked all throughout. Another thing that I dislike about the lighting kit is that the instructions tell you to put the wires in between bricks, which unaligns them and stresses the pieces. I had to put in a lot of extra effort to avoid this, including replacing certain pieces from the Lego set with pieces from my collection just to get the wires set up correctly while maintaining their concealment. Another problem that I have is that the remote has a ton of options for different flashing patterns, but I bought this in order to have steady illumination throughout the set, with no flashing. The instructions label each button on the remote, but it is very confusing and unclear. I had really high hopes for this kit, but the fact that it was such a challenging and confusing endeavor (especially considering the vague and unclear instructions) with not-so-great results disappointed me. I am going to contact the manufacturer and either get replacement parts or a refund.

Amazing light kit!
Great light kit, the online instructions were clear and it wasn’t too hard to put together. I like how all the led wires converge into one place and from there the usb was connected. I’ve had other light kits where each led wire needs its own separate usb connection and the whole thing becomes bulky fast. Very happy with all the lights and how the set turned out.

Fascinante 🧐
The media could not be loaded. Lo compré para mi hijo y el está feliz 🙃

The lights die out fast.
The media could not be loaded. While, relatively tedious to assemble, I believe it is worth it due to the ambience and cool factor that the lights add to the set. However, I have it plugged directly into the wall so I know it’s not a battery issue, the lights die out after 30 to 40 hours of use (maximum). For the price in the effort required to install, I do not think it is worth purchasing this item.

Looks great but overheating issue
Lights installed easy and looked great. Sadly only lasted one week until these lights shorted out. Manufacturer has not responded on the issue.

My granddaughters loved it. Got the lights for it as well.
Lego is always a big hit for my granddaughters. They loved it. My oldest 15, she had a challenge with the lighting kit, youngest found it difficult. She is 9. When they completed it, they were pleased.
