Jump Dancer

Daughter happy,this is what she asked for. Works well on the jumping over action,but only tried once on the skipping mode,it did not go well,but will try again when we have more room.

I got the jump dancer for my six year old granddaughter for her birthday and she loved it ,it is better to hold the rope.all round very good .

And then ver a year later realised I haven’t reviewed. So now I can give a better review, my daughter has played with this endlessly and time after time it has never failed to entertain her and her friends, this is 100% built with the view to last, until my daughter got the hang of it she was constantly stopping it by getting hit (must say over a year gone and not a single injury, it is built with the view not to cause injury, and 5 * alone for that), and I was thinking this ain’t gonna last. Still going as the day we got it. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Bought for my neice for her birthday after she asked for it. The negative is that it spins so round so fast, even on the slowest setting! It has caused many tears. I really don't think it is worth the price either

Pretty good. The price tag was high which seemed too high, but in fact the build quality is pretty robust.

We haven't used the skipping option yet, but horizontal version seems to work well so far and my daughter loves it.

This was a good idea but a poor design. Purchased this for an elementary student w/disabilities who cannot turn a rope by hand. Completely inappropriate for this purpose. This is marketed as for ages 5+. Absolutely misleading. This is way too fast for most kids under the age of 10. Even at it's slowest speed it's much too fast. Poor design. The on/off switch is located under the rotating hub so if you want to turn it off you have to first wait until the timer stops and then hunt for the toggle switch. If you need to turn it off immediately, you have to press a button on the hub as the rope and ball swing around and hit you, after which the rope twists itself around the hub into a tangle. The horizontal jump rope is too short to allow for more than 2 students at a time. Because I really need this machine to turn slowly, I plan on taking it to a "gear-head" to see if it can be adapted for this use; I am not hopeful. I didn't even bother to set up the vertical jump system for philosophical reasons: 1, you should never leave a child alone with a moving rope, and 2, parents, for heaven's sake, go outside and turn a jump rope for your kid! (Plus, that part of the toy got terrible reviews.) Probably better off buying a pogo stick!
