Grover Accordion Accessory (502C)

Fitted to a 1997 Gordon Smith GS2, these are 100% compatible even down to the position of the screw holes on the back of the headstock so there's no drilling and no holes to fill. And what a difference they make, not only is restringing now much quicker but once done the stability of the tuning is spot on. These are top quality and have transformed the instrument, wish I'd done it sooner. They're expensive but in this case you get what you pay for.

I really like the Grover tuners. I have several sets, all excellent. And as I only just realized after reading the pack insert on a set I just installed for a customer - Grover offer a no quibble lifetime guarantee.This particular set have the locking thumb wheels on the back and I thought at first I had been sent the wrong set because, the way they are styled - with a domed centre - they look almost exactly the same as their non-locking tuners. Brilliant, well made and very stable.

As far as tuning stability and quality is concerned, Grovers are probably the best machine heads money can buy. I bought these 502Cs to replace the Gibson G-force on my 2016 Les Paul and they did not disappoint. The G-force boasted excellent tuning stability but far from acceptable longevity as the plastic gears in the servos easily strip. When mine finally died, I invested in these bad boys and they have the same if not better tuning stability that the G-force had while also (ironically) making changes between tunings much, much easier. Their lifetime guarantee means that if they ever do break, I can get repairs and replacements from Grover free of charge. Locking tuners are a must for anyone with a bigsby and Grovers are the best of the best. Musicians Outfitters USA was offering them at a steal (with a whopping £25-30 off the standard retail prices I've seen elsewhere) with the only caveat being long delivery time, but they arrived much earlier than expected and communication was fantastic! If you have a bit of patience and don't require fast delivery, I would definitely recommend looking to Musician's Outfitters USA for a good bargain.

Bought these to go on a Martin. They come as standard on Gibson’s. I’m surprised The Quality of the Martin tuners is not up to the level of these tuners, but then the Martin was only £1,600. Not one of the really expensive ones. Anyway, love the grovers. I’m not a fan of mini grovers but these are awesome.

As a direct replacement for the standard Grover tuners on my Epiphone Les Paul these could not have been easier to fit. I didn't even need to open the bag of collars and screws as the existing ones were identical. About 25 minutes from loosening off the first string to tuning back up after fitting them. These will certainly make string changes quicker and easier, and time will tell if they help with tuning stability.

This is why I took a star off, to draw attention to the weight.Grovers are always well made they will last for donkey’s years. If you have anything close to neck dive, then no...To put this into context, the non locking version of this that is lighter weighs 47grams, whereas a Hipshot open gear locking tuner with pearloid tulip buttons, that you can order in bespoke post sizes from Hipshot direct, weigh only just under 30grams.
