Very thrilled with the production and content of this large setHaven’t seen them all yet

Well this is not an theology lesson, but it is fairly accurate, the films are well made even better than than the new release the Bible in my opinion and that is all of them full length feature films. I watch them time and time again, what I really like about in the Jesus film it also shows it from the view of the people who where persecuting Jesus. They feel they are very clever in setting Jesus up and enjoy persecuting him and because they feel no one knows what are doing when they pretend to give him a proper hearing when they send him to back and forth to the leaders of the day. What I see is that even though it was 2000 years ago (given to what I am going through myself) I see that people are no different today, we have not learned nothing, yet say we live in a civilised country...

Delivery first time for me by Amazon Locker. Went well. This DVD Collection housed in container that is difficult to open, no instructions. Once opened several of the DVD plastic notch fixture fittings broken ,so DVD’s dropped out, risk of damage.Not returning, taking the risk that all DVD discs will play.The first DVD playing is “David”, the story of David in the Bible, who became anointed by the Prophet Samuel as King David.The young David overthrows Goliath, and his popularity grows with the population.King Saul preceding David, becomes jealous of David, who befriends Jonathan, King Saul’s son.Saul develops plots to kill David. Everything seems to go awry for Saul, he consults a female soothsayer, which his son believes is the wrong action to take.The soothsayer speaks of bad outcomes for Saul, and reveals he is a King, creating deception.She is angry.Saul fearful, pleads with Samuel that he “will do anything God asks”.The prophet Samuel says, “too late……..

The box could be slimmer but that's ok now I am happy with it

This is great for all Christians or those who are not and want to know/learn about the Bible and the Christian Faith though it is not the complete Bile it gives you an introduction to what we believe in

Excellent value for money. Each film is well made and and acted. For such a giant project I was pleasantly surprised at its quality. The story lines follow the Bible but they don`t preach at you. This is why I titled this "You don`t have to be religious to enjoy this". If you do happen to follow a Faith then this is a good "top up" alongside your Bible reading (or the Torah or Koran. We are all "Children of the Book" (Old Testament). The Bible contains brilliant stories and this is an enjoyable way to discover the fact.

I thought this may be a bit hard on my children to watch, ages of 11 to 22 but I cannot keep them away from the dvds, we are you to Samson and Delia and the kids love it! I have never seen them so entranced in a film much less Epic ones of 3 hours plus!For my self, I did not like Genesis, I found it a bit tedious to follow, but all the other films up Samson have been awesome. Cannot wait to watch the rest and watch the bible unfold.

I have purchased this box set at the extremely low price and am absolutely delighted with it.It would prove a valuable resource for all Christians making the stories of the Bible live.It could also serve as an evangelistic tool for outreach.Sorry have to stop there as must get back to Samson and Delilha and the destruction of the Philistine temple. Love every thing about the set.But does have it's flaws.In Solomon.He needs to go back and learn his Ten Commandments.Before he is shown teaching the children incorrectly.Over all though very nice set.

ITS REALLY A LOVELY SERIES. ITS AWESOME TO SEE THE BIBLE FROM THE BEGINNING. EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH IT. THANKS A LOT

B E W A R E ! READ BEFORE ORDERING !Products from this seller will likely not work in your American DVD player!! The seller does NOT caution buyers about this. Somewhere within their "small print" on the seller's site it only states: "PAL format". These nine letters serve as the ONLY indication that their DVDs will NOT play in American DVD players. Therefore, in the likely event that you do not happen to be in the business of manufacturing DVD discs or players yourself, you may not realize that "PAL format" means their DVDs will NOT play on American-purchased DVD players. [Also, don't overlook that their "PAL" has nothing to do with Pay"PAL"]. We ordered an expensive set of 17 DVDs. When it promptly arrived from England it was in perfect condition and appeared just as advertised!However, none of the DVDs would play in our ordinary Sony DVD player! So rather than just throw out the DVD discs and throw away the money we had just spent, we reluctantly took many 30-minute time-outs to email back &forth with the seller. They always replied quickly, but repeatedly informed us it was just too bad that we didn't know their meaning of "PAL". Well, now we know. And we want other American DVD player owners to also know!! That's why we're spending even more time to write this unhappy review. Regardless of our repeated attempts to explain to the seller how unreasonable it is that their site offers NO caution about the differences in European DVD discs/players, the seller would NOT pay for postage back to England. So we lost nearly $30. in postage (in order to return the DVD set to the England address), at which time the seller quickly refunded our credit card (but they subtracted from our refund the co$t of their postage to send the DVDs to us in the U.S.). Buyer beware.

I would not recommend these as teaching tools. They are lacking in accuracy in order to make the stories more interesting.
