If they didn’t work, read this!
Came to right a critical review because they didn’t work - to the extent that the other morning my husband said ‘the mouse left us a note to say thank you for the food’ 😂😂😂. So glad I looked at the photos in the advertising blurb before I did so (although I am happy to note that lots of people clearly have had the same problem). The traps come with poison which is hidden under a stopper. If you don’t remove the stopper (who would be that stupid? 🙋♀️) then the rodents happily walk onto the base, eat the peanut butter or whatever and walk away again. When used properly they do work (who knew that using them properly would make such a difference 😂).

Too light in weight
I had used another wax cubed bait once and that had proved to be a nightmare. It had done its job but it a dead mice in a place I could not reach and had to deal with the stink for two weeks! Never again, so thought this would be a better option. The product is well made, has a strong spring tension, I am sure if it catches a door mouse, the rodent will not move from it's place. But this trap is too light, so light that a size larger than a door mouse might run away with it if its tail or a leg gets trapped. It did not trap the door mouse who visits the under-stairs regularly. It came and ate every bit of the bait twice. Even with different spring tensions the weight of the door mouse could not move the lever.

Useless
These are a bit of a paradox. The trigger is super sensitive, yet traps are triggered with no catch present. I trained a wildlife camera on one - it was apparent rats were taking the bait, but the trigger seemed delayed allowing the rodent to escape. I tried securing cheese with bits of wire so the rats couldn't as easily snatch and run, but it didn't improve the catch rate at all. So far haven't managed to catch anything with these. Glad i purchased on offer at £2.50 rather than the full price.

Worked But Temperamental and Slow To Kill Mouse
We had mice in our conservatory so eventually I tried three kinds of trap, this was the first. Three Big Cheese traps came in the set. One would not stay set, it just kept snapping shut on its own. But one of the others two did trap a mouse, however the mouse clearly wasn't killed instantaneously. Once the jaw closed the mouse pulled the trap for a few seconds then stopped. The traditional wood and metal traps have a faster/stronger action that kills very quickly (I was using a wildlife camera to judge when we'd fully cleared out the nest). So all-in-all not a great product.

Rubbish, not at all effective
Item is very poor, mice ate the built in food and the peanut butter I put on afterwards without triggering the device. I tried adding a review to their website and what a surprise the review failed. No wonder they only have 5 star reviews. What a waste of money. I only gave 1 star because I had to, it should be 0 stars.

Success
These are well made with a strong spring. I put down two (facing wall and bait cover removed as per instructions) and within 48 hours I had some success. However a mouse had managed to eat the bait on one trap without setting it off. I don’t know how that happened as just a slight touch and it slams shut. The other one was a totally different story with one dead mouse with the back of its neck caved in. Easy to dispose of dead mouse as it was firmly held by the trap and I just opened the trap when positioned over the bin. I put the third one down in a spare bedroom about 6pm I went to check at 9pm and it had worked already. Shame they don’t give more bait as the mice seem to manage to eat some and I don’t know if it loses potency when posed to air. I’m now going to try peanut butter and maybe chocolate.

Mice trap let down by awful mechanism of the trap itself
My household was greeted by an unwanted guest aka a mouse running around our kitchen, order a few packs of these traps and had to baited them myself with peanut butter topped up with cereal. The traps claim to be baited on the pacakging but when open there's hardly any bait on them (Hence why i had to bait them myself) but worse of all nearly half of the traps literally fell apart with no chance of putting together again due to the tension of the springs within the trap!In the end I had to purchase another trap from another manufacturer along with finding the entry points for my unwanted guests while also getting the ultimate secret weapon against mice..........A new cat for my home!

Risky and useless 😬
Rubbish traps never went off but they enjoyed the bait. Hid theses away safely where the pets couldn't get them. To be honest not thinking that mice carry the bait on them so sadly my dog found dead one before me and I notice dead mouse had be slobbered along her snobbery toy. Was being sick alot during the day and evening didnt know why at that time..then found the dead mouse all slobbered so she had lick the bait on the mouse and it had poison her. Stopped being sick now but will have call vet to advise. The mouse was tiny so traps not sensitive enough. In the bin now don't waste money to risky when you have pets. Now got old fashion wooden traps coming will use them more wisely. Will use sticky chocolate then hopefully snap the mouse be gone....
