I have used this product before on my down jacket and was always happy with the result. Just treat arm cuffs and stains before the wash by using it directly on the dirt. My jacket was dried and fluffed up in the dryer after the wash. Came out like new.

I tried this on a good quality down coat that was starting to lose its warmth, and lost its waterproofing a long time ago. Whilst looking at new coat reviews I noticed this product was popular so thought its worth a go to try and revive my coat.I had washed my coat before a few times before but watched a couple of youtube guides on how to use this product. I followed the instructions and the results were amazing.The wash really unclogged and fluffed up the down in my coat, making it so much warmer than it was and the waterproof wash made the jacket water resistant again.The whole process took a few hours, mainly as drying down jackets after washing takes a lot of patients to separate the wet down areas but once done and dried fully its really restored my coat back to new condition (I used the tennis balls in the dryer trick).The product should last a few years too as you don’t use much for each wash so overall excellent value for money.

Used the wash by hand in the bath to clean a down sleeping bag following instructions,rinsed it and then went through the same ritual for the proofing. I spun it dry on a slow spin at home and put it in a large plastic box and took it down to a laundrette to use a large drier. Dried on a medium to low heat. It took a couple of hours at that range. Laundrette was 10 minutes for a pound. Kept taking the bag out to separate the clumps. Was then told I should have put a couple of tennis balls in the machine which would have helped to beat out the clumps. I did go and get a couple and indeed it did work quite well. The sleeping bag is now well lofted. Cannot say whether the proofing is effective and I will try not to find out if it is, but Nikwax is a well appreciated product in most cases.Four star given because I couldn't confirm proof, or in other words prove the proof??

My puffy Northface jacket was looking thin and old after a few years wear but after using these products it's like brand new again. First used the green then washed straight away with the blue then tumble dried making sure I fluffed up the feathers from time to time. Make sure you take your time with goose down and that it thoroughly dried in tumble drier.
