My faviourite coffee maker!
Had one for 18 years, got knocked off a shelf about 16 years ago, and was slightly damaged but it kept going. It has been taken on holiday numerous times, particularly when heading off camping. We refurbished it a couple of times. When one of the lugs on the portafilter sheered off from use I decided it was time to buy a whole new replacement; I could have just bought a new portafilter but after 18 years it seemed reasonable to retire the poor old thing (will keep it for parts)! The only advice I would give is to keep it clean and possibly dismantle periodically especially if in a hard water area as deposits can build up that will prevent you from doing a refurb easily, a few years down the line. The new upgraded version has all the solidity of the old and I think actually produces even better coffee.

Doesn’t match the description.
Have received the espresso maker, but the additional parts were missing: ‘comes in a stylish metal reusable storage tin and as an introductory offer, also includes a new and improved milk frother’. Disappointing since it was supposed to be a gift.

Very nice & silent coffee maker
Very original and nice piece of kitchen equipment, I really enjoy it. Coffee is good but obviously not that good as from any reasonable espresso maker (probably lower air pressure). It is not that handy as it might look and those "wings" need some room around when preparing a cup of coffee but the main benefit for me is that it is silent - I always wake up first so can make a coffee without waking up my family. As said, you can make good & quick coffee with this tool but if you are one of those proper coffee experts, you might be a bit dissapointed. For espresso coffee dependent people (like I am) - good for travel/ camping/ cottage trips too - you need only warm water.

Great great coffee but not very forgiving of grind
This does take time to get the hang of but it's totally worth it, I ended up emailing customer services for advice and received detailed photo instructions back. Great great coffee but not very forgiving of grind!

Great gadget for brewing espresso at home
Great gadget for brewing espresso at home. Don't waste a fortune trying to recreate coffee shop espresso at home (you simply can't) and instead get this for under a hundred quid and buy a decent grinder.

Makes great ristreto 🙂
Love it! Makes great ristretto. I do get a little worried I might break it... but worried grinding coarser or using less beans would reduce the quality...

Excellent manual espresso maker
I fully recommend this espresso maker. It takes a little practice to pull a good shot, but once you get your rhythm right you'll retired the moka pot.
