We were only able to use this on one trip from Ohio to Florida. A couple of notes. Due to reviews of rain getting into the bag and the zipper and Velcro flap that is supposed to cover the zipper being at the “front” of the bag we decided to flip the bag so that the zipper and flap were facing the back. Down to FL didn’t seem to go too bad. When we got there we noticed a small tear in the bag so for the trip back, we decided to flip it back with the zipper and flap facing forward. Big mistake. The flap doesn’t hold down against wind so most of the drive it was a loud annoying sound that could be heard, even over the radio. About an hr from home, one if the straps completely broke (ripped in half). We immediately pulled over and once we got it down noticed it looked liked we had survived a trip to Jurassic Park. It was ripped and shredded. We also noticed that the straps had rubbed the paint above the door so bad it scratched through it. Not a welcome surprise on a brand new vehicle purchased less than a month before 😭 There was no salvaging it. After figuring out how to pack everything into the SUV and my youngest having to finish the ride surrounded by luggage, we made it home. I’m glad we were able to make it as far as we did but this shouldn’t be a “one time use” product. If using for camping trips within short distance, this is the bag for you. If looking for a cargo bag for road trips, keep looking.

You get the carrier and a non slip mat. The carrier is quite large that fits many items for a road trip. It fit 3 medium sized suitcases, 1 carry one and 2 smaller bags. With all that in there we had to add some pillows and blankets for padding and to make it more boxy when tying it up. On the way, back we were able to add a few more items that were gifted to us. The bag is made of a vinyl type material that is strong and sturdy. It held up well for our trip from Texas to California and back. We went from very hot weather to cooler and rainy periods and back to heat. The carrier held on strong. We had rain throughout the trip both ways. The bag kept everything dry. Nothing was damaged or even mildly wet. While driving we had zero issues with the rain, but when parked or idle the water leaked through the straps. Since we were resting by then and in a safe area, we losen the straps and the leaking stopped. We did not use the straps that came with the bag. We purchased ratchet straps that made it easier to install and helped keep the carrier more secure on top of the car. The original straps are plastic hook type that click close together. We weren't sure they were the strongest for our particular journey. Overall, I recommend the bag. It helped keep the clutter out of the car and allowed us the opportunity to bring the things we needed while we travel. We purchased a small, strong safety lock to keep it locked. The pics are taken after completing the roundtrip. It held up great and it's ready for the next adventure.

I bought this car roof bag a month ago. At the time, I and my husband were planing a long distant trip from Arkansas to California, which is about 1800 miles. To be honest, I was a little bit worried, because some of the reviews mentioned that it won't last for long trips and might get frayed during the trip, but I decided to give it a try because of the size and price. Before departure, we checked carefully to make sure that there's no sharp edge against the bag, and tied it real tight to the top of the car so it won't slide. I was so worried in the first 200 miles that I stopped every 50 miles to check if everything was OK. It was tight and in good condition every time I checked. Soon I forgot about it and just enjoyed my trip, and we made it 3 days later. We did encounter a thunder storm on the way, the bag didn't leak any water inside and kept our stuff dry. I'm glad I made the purchase. Highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded.  We are a big family of 5. It almost feels like our car is just enough to fit all of us and there's not much room for anything else. So we got this bag for our upcoming road trip. It got there fast, just in time for our trip. And it was big enough to put all of our stuff in it. The material felt soft and durable, and it fit on the top of the car well. Driving with it was smooth and it didn't move at all. I have to say, the waterproof feature was very important. There was a heavy rain during our trip, I was so worried that it might leak some water and our luggage will get wet. But it turned out the design prevented leaking well and everything inside was dry. If you have a big family or if you do road trip a lot, this is the bag you want.

This product was amazing and seriously helped me move from one state to another seemlessly. I was able to literally shove every single piece of clothing, sheet, blanket, towel, and curtain I own into the cargo bag like a soldier shoving all of his belongings into his canvas bag. The only difficult part was getting onto my Jeep and properly strapping it down so that it was balanced and wouldn't fly off. I used tarps to cover the cargo bag and they were stripped by the wind saving the Luckup in the process. 10/10 would recommend to others to use in a move or a trip.

Worked better than I was expecting. We took a trip from South Florida to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and we had no problems driving up or back down with this Cargo Bag. But I DID NOT use their straps, instead I used my Ratchet straps because I’ve always trusted them so I can not say if their straps are good or not. We have side rails but no cross bars and had no issues. I did buy a Slip Mat to put down on the roof of the vehicle and would suggest anyone who is going to use this, to go ahead and purchase a slip mat also. We stuffed it full and had no problems. We hit rain and snow, everything inside stayed dried. The material seems tuff and I am hoping to get a lot more uses out of it.

The bad itself is huge. It takes up most of the roof space of my sun compact SUV. The zipper is well made and the bag itself feels very sturdy.It is best to use if you have a roof rack or rails. If you do need to use or without the roof rack it will still provide a solid option. It will stay sold on your car even at high speed. However, if it does rain while you drive, the straps that run inside and through your car will get wet and drip on you and soak into the fabric of your car roof.

If you don't have this thing perfectly filled up like in the photo then its irregular folds and edges will cause a lot of drag. This is a big issue for electric vehicles.The bag is thick and heavy so it's hard to make it conform to an aerodynamic shape - something that will be even more difficult in cold weather. So take care when you're packing this thing, keeping wind drag in mind.

I received my new transport bag and it is big, also very thick so it is good quality. I have not installed it yet as winter is not finished, but it will probably work really great as I don't need roof racks with this bag!
