Bit fiddly to set-up but doable. Power adaptor has a two pin US plug and no adaptor, very irritating.

As beautiful as this clock is at first, the radio reception is crap. I wake to radio static every morning where my previous alarm clock was fantastic. BUT if you don't need radio reception and prefer to wake to the other beauty sound options...then this clock probably wont dissapoint. HOWEVER, if you only need a clock for a couple months, this is the perfect clock radio for you. Plugged the phone in on time to charge and the screen went black. So if you’re looking for a clock radio that’s lasts 2 months, sounds like a seagull and has radio silence from the seller, this is the perfect clock to get fired with.

It was decent. I liked the features. But after about 9 months of just sitting on a night stand, I gather the DC power barrel jack was not well soldered and eventually it became too flaky to reliably remain powered on. The clock radio is assembled in such a way that it's basically impossible to disassemble in order to re-solder (I'm used to fixing stuff like this myself) so ultimately it was a disappointment for us. UPDATE: the seller made me whole, which was much appreciated. The clock itself is good for the price and given that they stand by the product in the case of defects, I would recommend the clock purely from a price/functionality perspective. My daughter really liked it.

It is smaller than I expected but the display is large and easy to read. The dimmer goes right to black, and the control is on the back. The power cord at first seemed a bit loose, but you have to click it in firmly and there is battery back up - without the 3x AAA batteries, there is no retention of any of your settings if the power goes out. Definitely need the card to figure out how to set it up, but love the fact that the digital display shows your alarms, that you have the option on the back of when to adjust the days the alarms can be active for (such as only M-F) - not relevant for me, but love the dual alarm as I do shift work, and you can easily see on the screen which alarm is on/off, and the time set. It is not intuitive how to set the functions. The large dial that is also the sleep button dials up or down for the set up for date/times. There are buttons for the volume on top. This is FM only radio, also using that same dial to find your frequency. The sound is quite clear for such a small device. For the alarms, it gives you a few sound options, as well as waking up to the radio. It has the two font facing extra USB chargers, but I have yet to use those so cannot attest to it's functionality. It also has a temperature setting which I don't find useful, but the husband thinks it's neat. I do wish that it actually can be set for full date, instead of day of the week, but really that is not even something I need. Love the light wood casing - a pretty look so there is a touch of the rustic with the modern, and it is quite small in size, fits into my one hand easily, and very light.

I've had this little clock radio for about a month or so now, and I really like it. Despite its compact size, somewhat smaller than it appears in the pictures, the time display is as large, if not larger, as any digital clock radio I've owned. It has many useful features without being overly complicated. Most operations are fairly easy to figure out on your own, but a few functions aren't immediately obvious so reading the manual is a good idea. Beneath the time display are small numbers indicating whether an alarm is on or off. If an alarm is active it will display the alarm time, and if it is not active it will say "OFF". It has five different alarm sounds plus the wake to radio option, and I like to wake up to my local classical music station. One can also preset the alarm radio volume so there are no nasty surprises if you play the radio at a louder volume than you wish to wake up to. Supposedly the alarm volume increases gradually when the alarm goes off, but I have not found that to be the case, possibly because I already have the radio alarm volume set to the lowest possible level (which is 3). At the bottom right side of the display is a thermometer displaying the room temperature, except when the radio is on it displays the radio station frequency. The thermometer seems to be pretty accurate as it consistently matches, within a degree or two, another thermometer on the opposite side of the room. The numbers on the bottom row of the display are pretty small, though, so some folks may have trouble reading them without reading glasses. Also, as other reviews have noted, the display is much brighter when viewed from a higher angle and dimmer when viewed from a lower angle. This has not been a problem for me, because my nightstand is roughly at pillow level and brightness is still adequate at that angle. Placing the clock above eye-level could be a problem, though. The buttons on top are clearly marked as to function, however it is not immediately obvious that the round snooze button doubles as a dial to set the current time, alarm times, and other alarm settings. The good news is that the dial can go both forward and backwards so it's just as easy to "fall back" from DST as it is to "spring forward" into DST. On my wife's clock radio the buttons only set time forward so to "fall back" one must go forward 23 hours, which is a pain. This clock solves that problem. However, since the snooze button doubles as a dial, I find that to snooze the alarm I must tap it squarely in the center to make it work. Not always easy when half asleep. Some reviews have stated that the clock runs fast, but I have not found that to be the case with mine. So far it has consistently matched the time on my phone without any adjustment. I haven't used the USB charging ports so I can't comment on those. As much as I like this little unit, it does have a couple of shortcomings. First, the radio is FM only. No AM. That seems to be the trend in clock radios these days, but when cheaper clock radios that still use 1980s technology still have both AM and FM I feel a little cheated. Second, the tiny 1" speaker is very tinny, and sounds like an early 1960s Japanese transistor radio. Considering that in the 21st Century one can get better sound out of an even tinier phone speaker the sound quality of this unit is disappointing. However, given the other nice features of this clock radio I'm generally quite happy with it.
