Great Zapper
This is a great effective zapper, the light isnt too bright and the zap isnt so loud it would keep you up at night. But it is extremely effective, when i first set it up I saw a wasp building a nest and when I smacked the nest off the ceiling the wasp went into the zapper. The only thing is there is a strong burning smell when it zaps bugs but guess thats normal not sure first bug zapper I purchased. Comes with a set of replacement bulbs.

Nearly silent! absolutely worth every penny. Kills WAY more bugs than my old zapper.
This is by far the best bug zapper I've ever found. The blacklight is extremely effective at attracting houseflies. And the zapping grid is almost silent. It says "50% less noise" that's WAY underselling it. There is no annoying loud SNAP! that you get with normal bug zappers. Just a tiny little bzzz sound. You can barely hear it! It's an absolute blessing because it doesn't scare my pets anymore or make me jump. That alone makes this thing worth it's weight in GOLD.

I Like This Bug Zapper
I replaced my old bug zapper, which had a similar design but was damaged, with a broken plastic grille and failed bulbs after one and a half summers. It was also noisy, startling my dog with every zap. The new bug zapper is much quieter, producing only a faint sizzle when a bug is caught, often going unnoticed. Unlike my old zapper with two bright purple UV bulbs, this one includes two dimmer UV bulbs in different spectrums (one of which is vvvvery dim) and comes with a set of replacement bulbs for when they eventually fail. I expect it to last about three summers with constant use. The bulbs are dimmer, less noticeable at night, and I store the spares in their box, taped to the zapper for safekeeping. My old zapper struggled with small flies like fruit flies, but this one excels, eliminating six flies within the first 30 minutes of use. It offers two hanging options: a white leather handle, which I prefer for placing it on a high surface, and a metal chain, which I’ve stored with the spare bulbs. The design is a nice touch. Occasionally, a burnt smell arises when a bug is zapped for too long, unlike the old zapper, which flung bugs away, often leaving them alive and buzzing annoyingly. This zapper kills bugs instantly, and any smell is minor. It includes a plastic cleaning brush for safely cleaning the electrified metal to stop sizzling. I tried using it in my video but I was recording and one-handed lol Priced at around forty bucks, the same as my old zapper, this one offers more features and is simple to use—just unpack, plug in, and flip a switch. If it proves durable, I’ll buy it again.

The better fly zapper
This is indeed the better, premium fly zapper light. - I bought this one and the liba one, the latter of which is probably comparable to all the other ones - yes, this is much quieter, it doesn't make a loud startling zap but a softer buzzing. - the liba one will really just "maim" a bit housefly the first time, after which it will get zapped again. This one probably works the same way, it probably takes sever zaps to kill large fly ... so for each housefly you will hear several loud zaps. I never hear zaps for this one. - this kills houseflies better. This is because the mesh is smaller. The flies are more likely to get trapped in the mesh and have a much harder time getting out after being zapped once. - this indeed seems to get more houseflies, based on running them a few days. However, I confess, I did not do a controlled experiment. I ran the liba one in the kitchen and this one in the basement, both only at night. This one caught a ton, like maybe 10-12, twice as much as the liba. Maybe the black light works, maybe it got lucky, I don't know.

BEST zapper hands down
This is the best bug zapper I’ve ever owned and I have tried a LOT of bug killing products. I live in Puerto Rico, so a very hot humid climate, and keeping flies of all varieties out of the house is a constant battle. This thing has been very effective in keeping gnats/drain flies at bay. It’s very quiet, I only hear the occasional sizzle when large flies make their way in there. It’s perhaps too effective, as we had one unfortunate incident with a lizard who condemned himself to the electric chair. He effectively fried the top bulb and while a replacement was provided, getting to the tiny screws that hold the back panel on has proven to be tricky. Easier bulb change and maybe something to prevent non-insects from getting in would be good upgrades for the future. We have toddlers so also happy to report no small fingers getting into the zapper. I would get another one of these should I need it - it’s aesthetically pleasing and gets the job done!

We have had our unit 3 months and it just stopped working! However, both bulbs had blown, putting in the spares it was back in action. Checking what to do and i see the specs for bulb life is 2,500hr which as ours has been on 24/7 is to be expected. It is a fact that 'special' spectrum fluorescents have relatively short lives and affordable LED just do not cut the mustard a these wavelengths. So that said our unit has done a fantastic job at a similar price as fly spray over that time. We have cluster flies in our old house which become zombie flies in the winter. Flying in your food, your tea, your face, into your monitor and then dying on your desk and all the window sills. This unit placed high in the landing/loft area has made a 90% reduction in annoying flies with most of them ending up in the fly tray which in peak time was overflowing once a week. Only downside is the zapping noise as they meet their maker and a baking smell from the fatter ones - our loft area is now the flies "The Green Mile" - haha!

the most useless insect killer. DO NOT BUY IT. IT DOES NOTHING AT ALL. ONLY AN EXPENSIVE LIGHT
