Great hold down clamps that I can use on my workbench or black and decker workmate.

I bought these to fit in the holes of an old Black & Decker Workmate 2. They just about fit and need a bit of a wiggle. My Workmate has a few metal parts under quite a few of the holes so that restricts which locations you can use.They normally seem to clamp quite well but after a day or so they feel a bit rough. Maybe a smear of grease will improve them.Annoying fact: you lift the lever to increase the clamping force... maximum clamping is then the lever is sticking straight up which is when it gets in the way of your plane, router or anything else you're trying to clamp to your table. It would have been MUCH better to have the clamp loose with the lever up and press it down to the table to clamp!Conclusion: when they are out of the way of other things, I like their simplicity but the lever sticking up combined with the limited choice of placement in my work table reduces the number of times I can use them.

I bought these bench dogs as a replacement for some plastic ones that kept slipping and I'm glad I did. They are extremely well made and I predict will be durable. I got the longer version for versatility but I can imagine the shorter ones being as good. As a new woodworker I am learning that 'buy cheap, buy twice' is very true and although I will buy these again it's simply because I am so happy with them.

Hole fit is perfect for me at 10% rmc , i can only assume the complaints of poor hole fitting are from user care in relation to relative moisture content of the users mft top , seem like great quality to me !!The only improvement i can see is to rubberise the holding plate face , that said, they hold far better than expected , really pleased with them ,simple one handed operation !!!!👍Would definitely recommend 👌

Really well made solid clamps for 20mm dog holes.Easy to use cam system on handle that holds pieces secure and quick to clamp/release.

Only tested these a couple of times but compared to expensive Festools etc alternatives they seem very good.

Very well machined and good value
