Great phone
This phone is as good as any flagship. I don't see the point in paying over ÂŁ1000 extra for a phone when this one around ÂŁ200 comes with a great screen, fast charge, good screen. Battery lasts all day on one charge and when put on charge for 30 minutes charges up 50% so more than enough to go out for the day. Screen is great and looks really good. You could mistake it for an iPhone 14 pro max

Decent, high spec for a low spec price
This Redmi Note 12 has everything you need in a. Smartphone at a budget smartphone price.120hz screen4gb ram128gb memoryNFCFinger print security33w fast chargingI currently use a Redmi Note 11 Pro 5g. My daughter was on a standard Redmi 9, so it was time for her to update. This is an excellent value phone, with ÂŁ60 off in the Amazon day sale. This meets all of the essential specs, but costs a fraction of a high spec smartphone. I've been using Xiaomi / Redmi phones for years and can attest to the quality, style and functionality of the phones. This Note 12 is a prime example. I would happily use one of these myself, but my daughter had this one and is over the moon with it.The design is similar, somewhat, to a certain brand of non-android phone. It looks far more expensive than it is and I know that I'd prefer one of these over the far more expensive phone brand.

The worst phone I've used in years.
I was optimistic about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 after reading some positive reviews so I was surprised to be more than disappointed with my own experience. I preface this by saying that I believe my phone has something very wrong with it and leave this review as a warning to anybody wanting to put money down on it.I appreciate that this is a budget phone but ÂŁ200 is still a lot of money and I don't want to see anyone else burned it theirs goes wrong.First of all, out of the box the phone was very slow, unable to speed through basic tasks. Installation of apps and setting up my accounts made the device feel almost too hot to touch. Turning off animations helped the speed a little. The phone likes to power off when it feels like it (usually when I really need it). The camera quality is better than expected but you need to put in a lot of work to make a picture look good, if you snap and hope for the best you'll just get a blurry mess. The fingerprint sensor stopped working for me fairly quickly and today whilst I'm waiting for a replacement device before I return this the sound has failed completely.Emails can sometimes take minutes to load and the network drops unexpectedly. The phone seems to like dropping my apps seemingly at random and signs me out of other apps with prejudice. I like to pay for things using my card on my phone but this is a very jank process using this phone and tends to make any cashier pretty impatient so I've switched back to using my card. Pressing the home button creates massive lag before the phone allows me to actually go back to the home page. Going from one app to another and returning to the app can also cause the app to close and restart likely due to memory shortages. Also the date on my home screen keeps changing to be incorrect in spite of the correct day showing in the settings. The touch screen isn't half as responsive as you want it to be, it reminds me of the old touch screens with the layer underneath which you needed a stylus to operate. The phone doesn't have much waterproofing either so you'll always to be terrified to take it anywhere near moisture. The battery life is absolutely shocking on my device also. I'm not a power user by far but can go through 30 percent charge in less than an hour. The device has also received a downgrade from the previous model and now has only one mono speaker which whilst loud sounds very tinny. If I had to look for some positives I'd say it has a nice vibrant screen which occasionally runs at 120hz when that feature doesn't conk out and the screen size is decent. If you've had a great experience with this device, excellent but I personally don't think it's worth the risk.

Good phone for a teenager.
Bought this for my daughter last year and it has survived! Does all the things a modern phone does and the battery lasts all day and more. I use the family link app from my phone to do the parental controls. Speed and performance in similar to that category of phones. Camera is decent on daylight photography but videos etc. is mediocre. Then again for a young person, they can't distinguish between the quality difference of a galaxy S series phone for example. Overall happy with this.

Xiaomi
My iPhone is now at a stage where it won’t update to the latest settings anymore so when I saw this phone I thought this would be a good choice to have a another phone to use. I bought it a month ago because I loved the look, it’s so much like iPhone in many respects and it’s the same size and my iPhone, i loved everything about it, BUT I haven’t used it because I’m am very worried about the security issues surrounding this Xiaomi phone. My concerns grew greater the more i looked up about this phone on the internet because all said about this security.they say that iPhone and Samsung say “don’t sell your privacy for a cheap phone” or words to that effect. This lovely looking phone sits in the box unused because I am to afraid to turn it o. And connect it to my WiFi incase it gets hacked and all my details could get stolen. In my case it’s Money not well spent and I was slack and haven’t returned it, foolish me

Redmi Note 23 4G
Excellent phone and battery's for the price, good quality picture with macro lens. For the price it's worth it compared to those ÂŁ400.- in bracketsHighly Recommended!!!

I'm jealous.
I bought this for my boyfriend as a present. Like me he had an earlier model in the series. This one is bigger, with better battery life and I don't get the regular complaints about lack of performance anymore. He's not into playing anything more advanced than Chess or Scrabble on it but it does all this easily. It looks lovely, Xiaomi have worked on the appearance of their phones quite considerably over the last few years and it shows. I don't need a replacement myself yet but having seen this one up close I'm rather jealous of it.
