Outstanding low-tech solution to a high-tech problem
My Pentax K70 has collected some dust on the sensor after 3 years of use, and I was considering sending it off for a clean, but found this kit included in the original K70 kit I bought in 2020. You need to blow out all the dust around the mirror area before going into cleaning mode and opening the shutter to see the sensor. There is a small orange piece of very slightly sticky polyurethane or similar (looks like a wine gum), on a stick, and a pad of sticky sheets that you peel off one at a time and dab the orange wine gum on the sheet to clean it. Then you gently dab your sensor, cleaning it after each dab on the stick pads, which remove the dust, as they are stickier than the wine gum. There is a depth mark on the stick that the wine gum is on, but it is for Pentax DSLRs, however, this can be used (and is widely used) for other brands - just don't rely on the depth stop. Instructions are very clear, and there are some DIY instruction on YouTube.Don't touch the wine gum with your fingers - it has a plastic case to keep it uncontaminated. Great piece of kit with great results - will always carry it with my kit now.

Make sure you peel the cover off the cleaning sheets
Worked fine once I realised that I hadn't peeled the cover off the cleaning sheet. The dirt sticks to the lolly pop and then you transfer it to the sticky cleaning sheets. The first couple of times I used this I was not impressed, then slapped my forehead realising that the sticky cleaning sheets each have their own cover. Once I'd peeled the cover off all the dust and grime came off the lolly pop onto the sticky sheet and it worked as it's supposed to. Makes me wonder if the authors of the bad reviews did the same.

Not easy to use
Not get on with this. If you got 4 thumbs I would take it to a pro to clean. For me, this just made it worst. But not cut out for delicate operations.

The final solution
This item worked perfectly and solved a problem that had been irritating me for some time. For what the kit contains I thought it was expensive and this alone negated a score of five.

Dirty sensor
Purchased this product reluctantly, because of the high price. My fears were realised, it's not worth the money.Just a lollypop and a few sheets of cleaning paper.Needed to clean the sensor on my M9, tried a rocket blower, stubborn spots would not come off.Tried the Pentax Sensor Cleaning Kit and it made it worse.Sent it to Leica, should have done it in the first place, perfect now.

Very very useful - if you can find it
First off, I did not purchase my kit from Amazon, I have no idea why it is so expensive here. I was able to but one for 1/3rd of the price elsewhere. This sensor cleaning kit works by the physical contact of the orange tip, with the sensor itself, and should not be used to getting rid of dust - use a blower for that instead. This is great for getting rid of sticky or oily substances - pollen etc, that have managed to become attached to your DSLR sensor. The instructions are very useful and accompanied by diagrams throughout. One tip - for best results, leave the orange tip 'stuck' to the sensor for a few seconds, instead of just dabbing it on and off. The longer it is attached, the better the debris sticks to the orange tip.Very useful, and effective. But not at this price!

Use ONLY this...not liquid cleaners!!
The Sensor Stick is easy to use and comes with good instructions. It worked to remove all the nasty dust the first time I used it.I was tempted to try a liquid cleaner, but so happy I didn't. It left a residue on the practice surface I tried first. Dodged a bullet on that one.Hope this helps...the Stick is not difficult.

Extremely easy to use. Did a great job on my sensor. It's worth the money for the great job.
