Q: If you have the super sidekick do you need the smaller sidekick? I want to do Daybreak and Boomerang.

No you do not need the smaller sidekick. Super sidekick takes care of it all.

Q: Can the Sidekick be used to cut a hexagon? If you cut a "diamond" and then flip the sidekick?

If you are making a lot of hexagons, Jay Bird has Hex and More rulers in two sizes that may worth your while. I think your angles may be off if you use the Sidekick - but it might make an interesting shape. If you don't already have the sidekick, I wouldn't buy it with the thought of making hexagons.

Q: Is this comparable to the studio 180 v-block ruler? they look the same on screen.

The Jaybird Sidekick will do diamonds, and V blocks. I haven't used Deb Tucker's rule the the V block but looking at it online I think the Jaybird Sidekick may be more versatile.

Q: Is the triangle size in the hexnmore and sidekick rulers the same?

Sidekick is the same but super sidekick is bigger. I also have the “hex N more” ruler by Jaybird Quilts. All which work great together

Great Tool

Bought it to make a quick 60 degree baby triangle quilt. Worked great. The lines on where to lay it down and the instructions (because I kept confusing myself on the flip) were great. Saved so much time in cutting and took care of the dog ears ahead of time. Triangles were easy to fit together. (Can't blame the cutting on my lost points!)I'm planning to use this to make the sidekick quilt, but haven't done so yet.

Awesome!

I bought for a quilt pattern. Bigger than expected but its a good solid ruler. It’s a bit awkward to use since I’m left handed and its made for right. You can use it upside down but it gets a little confusing since the measurements are upside down. It would be helpful to have a rotating mat so you could get it set, hold it, and rotate it 180° so you can cut on the left. But it works so far so good!
