GSI Outdoors Ultralight Java Drip

My go to for coffee making, filters great, turn it inside out, shake, rise, job done.Perfect set up with GSI mug!

Great bit of kit. Lightweight for backpacking and perfect for a single brew of good coffee at home.

Pros:+ weighs close to nothing (10g)+ folds flat+ dense filter for fine grain coffee+ will fit on pretty much any mugMy thoughts:Love this product - a mesh net with three plastic legs... couldn't be more simple and more genius at the same time. Can't really name any cons. It's super easy and tasty to make coffee outdoors this way.

Great little item, folds down really flat, weighs next to nothing. Does what you want it too.My only criticism is that the water filters through to fast, however I’ve not tried it with an additional paper filter which may slow it down. Either that or put more coffee in..But it’s a great camping coffee filter easy to clean afterwards.

It’s such a simple solution to get a cup of real coffee.Genius idea and build.Recommend this wholeheartedly.Bit pricey though.Clips on any cup.

It very light and compact. I use it with papers to save the stale coffee contamination in the filter. It works well and is easy pack. Very happy with it

Latest addition to my coffee-making arsenal. This was bought specifically for lightweight work travel to places where generally only instant coffee is on offer but boiling water is easy to find (e.g. hotels, office). Used in DRC and Pakistan in the last month.For a drip device the coffee is good - obviously this isn't an Illy espresso but so much better than just throwing the grains straight in the cup of hot water. Although it's only 12g the design / construction seems fine.I look forward to using this on backpacking trips.Well recommended.

3 pieces of plastic, attached to a filter bag, for a tenner! But it's such a great idea, and it works so well, that I have no regrets about buying it. The water flows through a little quickly for my tastes, but grind your coffee fine and use a paper filter to slow it down, and it's perfect

Viel Positives wurde schon gesagt. Ich möchte keine extra Tasse nur für den unverzichtbaren Kaffee mitnehmen, wenn ich sehr leicht unterwegs bin, deshalb habe ich das Teil umgebaut.Die Aufsteller habe ich gekürzt, abgerundet, mit Hilfe einer kleinen Gasflamme gezielt erhitzt und zu Clips umgebogen, behält nach Abkühlen die Form. Nach Mod. 5,6g.Nun passt der Filter perfekt in meinen 700ml Toaks Topf. Außer dem Filter nehme ich nun auf Touren abgewogene Portionen Kaffee meiner Wahl mit. Den bin ich gerne bereit zu tragen;-)Vorgehen:400-500ml Wasser im Topf kochen, von der Flamme nehmen, Filternetz mit 20-25g mittelfeinem Kaffee befüllt in den Topf versenken und einhaken, dann (im Filter) gut umrühren, nach 2min Filter herausnehmen, abtropfen lassen, Kaffee aus dem Topf genießen.Mahlgrad, Menge und Immersionszeit muss natürlich Jede(r) selbst für sich optimieren.Es entsteht ein sehr vollmundiger Kaffee mit einer kleinen Menge feinster Partikel, ich finde das Ergebnis sehr lecker und jeder Instantlösung weit überlegen.
