I was one of the folks who screamed for Postum to come back after the company stopped making it. There's really no excuse for the price range they brought it back at but I still buy it. It's just such a nice alternative when you want coffee but can't have or don't want the caffeine or you just want something less harsh. The taste is very much like coffee but has a slight hint of brown sugar flavor. I've suggested it to folks who can no longer have coffee and they love it because they say it has the "mouth feel" of coffee. Anything you can add to coffee, you can add to Postum. It also comes in a coffee flavor and they make a cocoa, but I prefer the original to both.

Haven't had this in years! Brought back some old memories. My son thinks it tastes like M.R.E. MILITARY COFFEE. I think it's a great break from actual coffee.

Not identical to coffee, but the perfect caffeine-free substitute. I've been using it to make lattes and love it! The molasses flavor is definitely strong, so it can be hard to shift the flavor profile with syrups, but otherwise it's great.

I read the reviews and still decided to purchase this item. I have been weaning myself off caffeine and was down to 1 cup a day of 1/2 caf.The taste is pretty good. I use powdered creamer and a tsp of sugar. What's missing is that deep dark roast taste.As far as not dissolving, well yea it takes an effort. If you keep a spoon nearby (I keep one in my cup) and stir before sipping, you'll see there is zero residue in the bottom of the cup when finished.

So thankful to have found this again. I used to drink it years ago, but it slowly started being removed from all of the stores in my area and then I found out that it was no longer being made.I absolutely love coffee, but have a caffeine intolerance and even minute amounts bother me terribly. It has been a journey for me trying to find something that actually resembles something that I would want to drink. I've tried Daisy blend and Teeccino, but neither one of those quite hit the spot that my body craved.This has a very nice mellow yet rich flavor that really satisfies. I think it's a little pricey compared to what it was the last time I bought it, but I'm thinking double the price in 12 years isn't bad. Thankfully no one else in the family will drink this but me, so I think the price is reasonable for 75 servings. If I drink a cup a day this will last me two and a half months and I'm happy with that. This is a small luxury that I'm happy to pay for and I highly recommend this drink!

I use to purchase this item in stores and it was an excellent hot drink in place of coffee. It was a pleasure to find out it was still available and still is a great hot drink.C

I bought this for my mom. We don't drink coffee. She gave me a sample. This is my first time trying this. It taste good. It is a very good substitute for coffee. My mom told to mix it in a small amount of cold water/milk etc. to form a paste. Once powder is dissolved add more liquid. Then heat and sweeten to taste.

While the product is very acceptable, it is,in my opinion, not quite the same as it was years ago.
