We needed to replace a 15 year old lead that we had gotten for Fred the Basset Hound (RIP). We now have Jennie the Basset Hound. She's the runt of the litter and she weighs about 40 pounds. This longer lead gives her greater range in our front yard (to steal even more tomatoes off the vine), and she's never left out by herself. This seems to be a very good, lightweight lead. The clips on each end are sturdy steel, the cable is well anchored to itself at each end, and the clips are easy to open and close when we attach it to her harness. Good quality it just get tangled a lot but overall good purchase

I have 2 dogs, a 78 pound 7 year old and a 70 pound 1 year old puppy. We had the dogs on 50 foot rope leads so they could roam the yard in between walks. The puppy kept chewing the rope of the older dog thus setting him free, no matter how many time we fixed. We settled on these leads and although they are thinner than I thought they would be, so far the puppy hasn't even tried to chew on them and the dogs are not getting stuck on trees or roots as much. For the price I would recommend these. Only time will tell how long they will last but so far we are very pleased

I like the fact that my dog can still run and fetch a ball or his squeaky piggy without getting all tangled in it. I have no fence in my front yard and the backyard fence had to come down to get a new septic system installed so he couldn't go on that side of the yard. He just had this small space on the other side of the yard because of the inground pool. Now he can go on that side of the yard and if we go in the front yard he is able to come with us. I am thinking of getting two 75 foot ones for when we are strictly in the front or back yard and use the 100 one when we are back and forth between the 2. Cheaper than a new fence.

I used it to hook my tiny little pooch to the back door so he can run around freely. Because it's made SO WELL, I have no problems with it breaking or pullling apart. THISTLE work for us!!!!
