Lovely product.
I really like this product, it looks smart and is well made. The bin has a small inner pail making it easy to clean and take the food waste to the compost bin and the lid comes with a vacuum seal so it doesn't smell. Size wise it is not too big as to take up too much space, however, it still fits plenty of food inside. It looks good in the kitchen as well and far more slightly than the previous bucket.

Looks good and is functional too!
Wanted something to replace my ugly plastic, sweet box I used as a food composter on my counter top. This is gorgeous! It's good to look at, fits into my kitchen decor nicely, but more importantly, the sealed lid keeps out the fruit flies which used to plague my other homemade bin...The little pull out bucket with handle is great for making trips to the garden to my larger, main compost bin. The inner bucket easy to wash out properly and so keeps the overall item clean and smell free. It's a good size...not too big, but not too small either that it gets full too quickly. I recommend this product.

Very useful food recycling bin
It is a good size and simple design that makes for a nice counter top food recycle bin. The lid keep the smells in and we empty it fairly frequently so we really haven't had any trouble with that at all. The liner is a little slow to come out as the metal handle doesn't seem to fit well in the plastic holes and the suction from the tight fit makes it a little slow to come out, but over all I find it a nice addition to our kitchen.

Good compost bin - well designed
Just replaced the green version of this compost pail (unfortunately hubby decided to dry off the plastic inner pail on top of my AGA, melting it in the process). Our green version was about two or three years old and became a little chipped here and there but nothing serious, - it's just a common theme on this sort of material type. We also lost the functionality of the inner pail's handle when the plastic hole one end was inserted it wore through, however this was not a disaster and it was still fairly easy to remove the inner pail even when full. The inner pail is a real bonus as it saves having to wash out the main container every day, therefore minimising knocks and scratches. Every so often I'll pop a little bleach into the bottom of the inner pail to bring back to looking like new.The cream version is not a yellowy cream but more of a fashionable neutral stone cream. It looks good with my Farrow and Ball Slipper Satin painted kitchen cupboards. The lid on this one has to be pushed down more firmly to seat properly, but that might be an advantage as it will keep smells and flies out!

OK for what it is
Looks OK, but is smaller than I thought. A couple of small chips on the paint and not generally of a great quality, but then what do you expect for the price I guess. Decided to keep it as they are not noticeable where i have the bin located. The lid gives a good seal and is easily removed with one hand to put waste into the bin. Normal size compostable plastic bags fit OK, but paper ones are far too big for it.

The outer bin being metal means it's best to ensure the bucket is kept dry
A gorgeous colour, warmer than the "clay" which I'd had before, though fairly similar. I'd had my previous one for about 6 or 7 years and then someone accidentally threw away the handle of the inner bucket when they put out the compost! I guess every family's got one.......................Anyway, these are really neat, sit on the counter unobtrusively and aesthetically, and the rubber seal around the inside of the lid, stops smells escaping. The outer bin being metal means it's best to ensure the bucket is kept dry, so I'm careful to wipe any dampness off, not fill it to the brim so that the contents don't touch the lid etc. As a result, my last one never went rusty. For looks, practicality and price I'd really recommend this product.

Compost Magic
What a relief to have a decent kitchen compost bin. This bin is brilliant, the plastic inner container is very easy to clean and the lid fits snugly in the outer container, there are no nasty smells emanating from the compost bin and it looks really smart on my work top. Very pleased with this purchase and definitely recommend.

Attractive compost caddy, lid unnecessary
Attractive compost caddy. Just the right size for a few days of peelings. The inner caddy means the metal stays clean and you can easily remove the compost itself, with or without one of those green compostable liners.Pro tip: the lid is actually pretty pointless. Leave it off and the food doesn't smell. It dries out and doesn't go mouldy - it's the mould that smells, not waste.
