It’s what I wanted . Only thing is I can only use it in Manual mode . And I just have to get better with that mode . Oh yeah you will need a tripod or a single pod. Because when you go out that far it’s a bigger chance for blur while pressing your buttons

This 500mm lens has earned its spot in my camera bag for a couple of reasons: it's well within my budget being an amateur photographer saving up for a high quality telephoto zoom lens like one made by Nikon or Sigma, and it produces decent images given that you know how to use it. It is manual meaning that you have to adjust the focus and aperture yourself, which is to be expected for the price you pay, I wouldn't use this for any sports or action photography where timing is of the essence. With just a 67mm front filter thread size and a maximum aperture of f/8 on a 500mm focal length, this lens is really slow so you do have to compensate with shutter speed and ISO, but again this is just a minor complaint considering the price you pay for the lens, however, the 67mm filter size is pretty common so if you use filters at all chances are you wouldn't need to buy any specifically for this lens as you can interchange between the other lenses you have.This kit comes with a cleaning kit, a uv filter, a lens hood, a remote shutter and a 2x converter. The lens hood is rather useless because when you adjust the focus the entire front portion of the lens rotates taking the lens hood with it, but it fits on any 67mm filter thread so I've used it on other lenses that don't have that problem. Also, the 2x converter is junk, chromatic aberrations go through the roof and image quality is so poor I would never use it for anything.All in all, while this is far from an all-purpose telephoto lens, it does have its uses. I've attached a few images that I took with my Nikon D7100 and this Opteka 500mm, as you can see it does a good job with the moon, and I was able to pull off the Orion nebula through the magic of median-stacking with many images shot at extremely high ISO. If you're looking to take high quality photographs, don't buy this lens, if you wan't a cheap long lens to play around with while staying under your budget, then this lens is for you.

This was supposed to be compatible with a Nikon D5600. It is not registering on my camera. I have the setting to manual and the adapter ring on; however, the camera tells me there is no lens. Waste of time and money.

Lens seemed nice. Tmount had nothing to do with my camera. Yes I did order the right one. Must have been mixed up right? Along with sending me two packages. Lol but no I wouldn't use this place again.

I bought this before Christmas and didn't get it till valentines day couldn't track it, never got updates, every time I tried to talk to someone I was redirected to the manufacturer then back to Amazon I wouldn't buy from this manufacturer again.
