I thought my book was going to be autographed and it was not . So disappointed .

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I was blown away with how candid and open KEM was in detailing his story. I actually held my breath thinking about how did he tell his family that he was going to share his story along with their secrets. What was that conversation?!To learn that his journey started out with the weight of the world, bad decisions and toxic family trauma working against him... My heart broke for the boy who lived in silence while everything around him was loud.To learn that his first album was born out of a yearning and not reality - mind blown! His candid and vivid approach to writing this book along with his incredible & memorable one-liners had me reading this book with his voice in my head. I also kept hearing "HEY GIRRRL." Not sure why?The myriad chapters made it easy to read the book and not get bored - it moves fast.Since learning he voiced his audiobook, I'm going to listen to it too.This book is a great read and conversation starter. You never know what someone is going through until you make space to learn their story. KEM is going to help people with this book - especially young people who are making life choices and/or are at the crossroads of growing into who they will be.Thank you, KEM for Sharing Your Life & gift with the world. xx

While being a huge fan of Kem's music, I had heard briefly about his story & struggles in life. However, I had no idea about the gravity of his struggles. By the grace of God, Ken was able to turn his life around & his music guided him to a better place. It is astounding that such beautiful music was born out of such pain & despair. Having read this book, I appreciate his music even more. Kim, thank you so much for sharing your life!!
