Viavito Heart Rate Monitor - Black

Same as the other reviewers the watch was broken where the strap connects to the watch. Why on earth has this issue not been put right as it seems to be a design fault?

The item was broken when we received it and as it was a present I was very disappointed, I have returned the item and will not be reordering as it is a very flimsy product, wasn't happy with it at all

I ordered this Viavito Heart Rate Monitor to monitor my heart rate during a run - mainly for exercise purposes (to enhance the efficiency of my running) but also because I'm prone to a bit of light headedness. The item arrived on time as expected but was not packaged well; there was no internal packaging whatsoever. As a result, the wrist watch monitor displaying the heart rate arrived broken. Specifically, bits of the plastic required to attach the wrist strap to the watch itself had chipped off - so I can't use this at all. It seems that other reviewers have pointed this out, and it is an easily fixable problem, so I'm surprised it hasn't yet been tackled? The heart rate transmitter that you put around your chest arrived in excellent condition - although tightening the battery compartment with a coin (as instructed) has somewhat damaged its case - so the quality of the case is questionable. I liked the look of it though and it was easy to put on. Despite the damage, I tried using these items at rest and it seems promising, although I won't be able to test out how it fares during a vigorous run. I emailed the seller but I haven't yet received a reply. For the moment I have to give this product 2 stars due to its condition, but I am happy to update this review accordingly if the seller contacts me with a fully functional product - especially since I think that there is a great idea behind this product. I have had a chance to test it out while running and it is fast becoming an indispensible tool for cardiovascular fitness. I have since changed the rating from 2 stars to 4 stars in light of the fully functional and useful product, as well as the great service. I appreciate that the company were happy to remedy the problem. Please find attached some photos.
