I have only given 4 stars because I can't comment on sturdiness or durability as I have only just received it but it does look very well made.The problem I have is that this hasn't taken into account the size of pilates head cushions/blocks so although I can fit my pilates 12mm mat in, I can't get my head cushions in the pockets as they are way too small. I am really disappointed because it means I now have to carry another bag as well as this one all through town to my classes, not an easy feat.This was the only one who made provisions for head cushions/blocks as most accomodate a mat & a drinking bottle at most but sadly still didn't quite fit the bill for me.

My wife was looking for a bag to keep all her yoga gear in, and one that was water resistant. This looked like it would do the job. The blurb said; “ Fits most yoga mat up to 28" wide, with enough room left for your extras EXCEPT for 15mm yoga mat)EASY TO USE and EASY TO CARRY AROUND: No more hassle packing and carrying your yoga gear to and from the Studio. Just slide in your gears and go to your next destination.”.On delivery she put in her gear; Inside: mat, large brick, meditation cushion; Outside pockets; small brick, eye pillow and strap.The outside pockets are fine, but the inside is simply not big enough and any attempt to zip it would clearly strain and, probably, break the zip.The company replied to an e mail promptly and said, in essence, that the meditation pillow was the problem. Unfortunately, that is part of her gear, so the only way for it to work for her will be to rig something to carry the mat on the outside, between the handles. All in all, disappointing.The material does look reasonably durable, but the zip doesn’t look the strongest for this type of bag ( it is not a patch on the zip I have on my gym bag, for example) but, to be fair, she has not had time to test that.So I suggest you look at the picture on Amazon that shows an example of what will go in the bag....if that is all the yoga kit you have, go for it. If you have more, look elsewhere.

I bought this bag not only for yoga but for the gym. It is exceptional. This is the third bag I purchased since the others don’t fit my yoga mat or my bricks, pillows etc. The design is perfect. I can get more than expected in it. It has two large pockets with zips on the front. The pockets hold ps the bricks and the pillow block, with room for deordrant etc. Even has a water bottle compartment which I can put a sport top voltaic 500ml bottle in, the main body is excellent, I have a extra large yoga mat and it fits perfect with plenty of room around it. I even have a wash bag in there and my change of clothes. It’s beautifully balanced to carry on the shoulder. I would recommend this to all yogis and gym worshippers.

My mat is extra thick and I wanted a bag that would hold it easily. This does the job with room inside the main body for spare towel or clothing.The two front pockets would hold blocks or other items and all openings have double zips for easy access. The bottle holder is handy too.You can carry it on your shoulder since the handles are pretty long.It's big but holds everything so you don't need an extra bag.If you have a thick mat or need to carry lots of stuff this is a good buy. As a bonus it matches my purple mat perfectly!

I have been looking for a bag for my exercise mat for some time. My mat is quite thick and most bags are too small. I also wanted one that would be showerproof at least. This has a plastic type lining so should be fine. It is very roomy and has several pockets for smaller items. The pocket for the water bottle could do with a better closure. The drawstring is difficult to pull tight enough to hold the bottle securely. Still doesn't stop me giving it 5*. It also has a shoulder strap making it easier to carry on the shoulder. A very good buy and an excellent price.
