Fine Accoutrements L'Orange Noir Classic Shaving Soap, 100 g

I love fine soaps. The American Blend has a stonger and bettter sent but the L'Orange is great too and a good value. L'Orange smells like dry orange zestI only wish it was a stronger smell. Performance can not be beat with fine soaps period, They lather super easy. You do not have wet the puck before lathering. The pucks are very hard and last a long time. The slickness and cushion are top of the line. Fine American Blend Is my top pick but ths one is not far behind

It's not overpowering as a smell but it did smell really good and it's not expensive. You can't really ask for more than that.In my experience, getting it to stick to the bottom of a shaving mug is done by running the hottest tap water you have in the bottom of your mug to warm it up. Then sit your soap in 1mm of hot water for a few minutes as well. When ready take it out and using your brush make just a little foam before you stick it to your mug. Press it down fairly hard and then allow it to cool down. There you go!

If you like a tallow soap, this is a no-brainer. Thick, full lather that doesn't clog my DE and makes my Straight glide like ice. The scent is a very bold orange and musk that fills the bathroom long after shaving, but doesn't overpower on your face. My only complaint is it seems to have a little high of a salt content. Not enough to dry you out or anything but enough I noticed. Don't let that hold you back though!

It lathers up well like the other Fine soaps but has no discernible smell. On the upside it doesn't clash with any aftershaves.Has good glide and will work with hard water.
