5 Stars
Very happy that I chose to give this book a chance regardless of the fact that I am a 24, almost 25 year old woman and not a teenage girl. It not only educated me, it inspired, motivated and gave me plenty of ideas/things to think about and consider as well!

Super handy guide for the singer in your family!
This book was really an easy read – easy writing style, great illustrations, etc. It is really focused on helping a young person as they think about what they want to get out of singing, and what they want to do with it. Lots of self-analysis questions, discussion about different types of careers based on your interest, how to think about college, etc.

Really fun, great for tweens
This is a straightforward and sweet guide to help young women navigate what singing is and does for their life. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I can see it being more for early teens and tweens ~ my older girls (who of course want to grow up RIGHT THIS MOMENT) weren't as "into it" and the younger ones.Still, worth the purchase, especially as a gift to a student or granddaughter, or friend!

Goal-setting for teen singers!
Are you a teen looking for information on furthering your singing path? This is a wonderful, concise guide that will bring you clarity. Are you the parent of a teen studying voice? This book would be great for your daughter! The Teen Girls' Singing Guide is written in a friendly style while imparting a ton of information, with youtube links for helpful videos and input from guest instructors. It will help you to assess your own goals and consider how to move forward with your studies. I especially loved all the career options for singers, including many helpful links and organization info. There are many ways to be a professional musician, and a professional singer. Written like a conversation with a good friend, or a kind teacher.

Parents need to read this book, too!
I agree with all the reviews so far 100%! And if you are a parent of a tween or teen who loves singing, or she/he is used to being the star in her school, house of worship, or any of the pre-professional programs that have cropped up like locusts in the US over the past 15 years, READ THIS BOOK. You need to have some trusted information if you are really going to support your daugher/son. Reality TV is not reality. Colleges will tell you anything you want to hear to get your child to audition and apply.
