The Opteka 650-1300mm high definition manual focus super telephoto zoom lens is perfect for the professional and amateur photographer alike. Using a 2x tele-converter with a 650-1300mm lens will effectively increase the focal length to 1300-2600mm. A lens set to f/8 will now be f/16. There is a built-in, rotating tripod mount for easily attaching to your tripod or monopod. It's an extremely powerful telephoto zoom lens with the versatility that you need. This lens is great for the wildlife or nature photographer who wants to be hidden while taking photos of the subject. When combined with the included T-mount to fit your camera system, this super telephoto works on both "full frame" cameras as well as the "APS-C" style digital SLR cameras. You can use the lens in "M" manual exposure mode or "A" aperture-priority mode only. Advances in ultra high-index / low-dispersion optical glasses, new barrel materials, and exotic anti-reflection coatings, along with the latest in computer-aided-design / computer-aided-manufacturing, are combined to produce lenses of unprecedented quality. Diamond-cut from crystal-clear, water-white optical glass, Opteka lenses are ground and polished to a precise precision. This puts more creative control where it belongs, in your hands. Bright sunlight and a sturdy tripod is recommend when using this lens. Brilliant lens
As opposed to the last telephoto lens I purchased this one is a significant improvement the quality of pictures from it and the ease of focus is worth the extra weight it contains. Fantastic value and canโt wait to get on the road with it.Only issue was and this may apply to those with canon cameras the camera adapter is built more for Nikon and is very tight on the canon range. I recommend picking up a separate adapter if you have any canon eos camera.

Has a T mount lens fitting, and comes with an adapter ring to fit Canon.
Amazing value manual lens 650-1300mm, comes with telephoto adapter ring to expand to 1300-2600mm. Also comes with an adapter ring to fit Canon cameras. I've got a Pentax so had to spend an extra fiver on a T mount/Pentax adapter ring. It's not exactly a high end lens, but so far I've found it to be more than adequate for my amateur photography exploits, wild life, birds, moon close ups etc. Build and photo quality's pretty good considering the price. Would never be able to afford a high end lens of this type so I'm happy with it. Has push/pull initial focus and a fine focus rubberised grip ring around the lens barrel. Essential you use this with a good tripod to avoid camera shake. Also recommend an infrared shutter release, (I bought one and found them to be very cheap).

Requires a telescope mount.
Don't get me wrong this thing will shoot the moon full frame, all you gotta do it find it and clamp the damn thing in place.Personally if you are going to use this level of zoom get yourself a heavy duty micro adjustable telescope mount with it as the setup is heavy when you add the cameraIt does have a center clamp position on the lense, however, adding the DSLR to one end makes it poorly balanced hence why I say you need a heavy duty telescope mount.Once you are zoomed in it becomes rapidly apparent that a normal tripod does not cut the mustard as it is so easy to lose your target when clamping down so it will help you to get a telesope mount with a camera mount adaptor and micro adjustment levers.Great price great product but does require proper telescope mount with micro adjustments.Does as described
