The cotton flax fabric has a lovely natural texture—soft, but structured, with just the right amount of body so it folds neatly and stays put when you dress the table. Then I noticed the details: hemstitched edges and mitered corners. These aren’t rushed factory finishes. These are the touches you expect from something handcrafted or boutique. I bought both the 100% cotton and the cotton/linen blend napkins. I did not expect first quality napkins at this price, but for the price they actually are very good. They laundered well and were easy to iron (yes, you do need to iron them - they wrinkle badly). After laundering the cotton/linen are very soft and absorbent. The 100% cotton are much thicker and sturdier, will probably hold up better for everyday use. You could probably get away without ironing the 100% cotton napkins. Update: They are holding up well in the wash and are easy to iron with a hot steam iron.

Color perfect for my needs. Only thing after laundering you have to iron them. They will probably end up at the bottom of my napkin drawer after next washing.

One was stained but otherwise great quality

Too bad that they were purchased on "Haul" and cannot be returned. Terrible quality! when I washed them they bunched up worse than used paper napkins and cannot be ironed flat. The hems are especially crumpled-permanently. Also, there are dropped and pulled stitches and the folds inside the hems are not even.
