Winsor & Newton Specialty Ink, Black, 14ml Bottle

Great ink. My go to liner ink for watercolor projects.

Winsor Newton India ink is a staple in the comic art community. It’s up there with Speedball and a lot of inkers love it. This my first time using it, but I knew it would be good. I used it with Strathmore 300 and immediately got a rich dark and black. With a dip pen the ink doesn’t always flow as well as Carbon black, Ultradraw and other thinner inks, but if you’re a brush inker, this one’s for you. In the dip pen, after it stopped flowing, I dipped it quickly in some water and it worked well, but it worked best with my Silver Black Velvet 1 script brush and a generic 0 round artist brush. It does say on the back to thin it with water if needed. It also dries quickly and appears to be waterproof so it’s good with inkwash. I got this because Amazon had a crazy deal for $2.30 a bottle. I got three bottles and might get a few more to add to my ink collection.-Nathyn Brendan MastersNight Phoenix Press

It works quite well, dries fast, waterproof, very dark. I just spilled a little though but that’s my fault. It’s very small, but works well.

This ink works fine, but as you can see in the image, it is sticking to my dip pen. From my understanding, it is not supposed to do that. I read the description and this did appear to be an inkwell for dip pens, so did I do something wrong?This is less of a bad review, I guess I should have written this as a question.
