I always wanted to learn to play saxophone. I'm 62 and this is a perfect instrument to start. The only thing I did not like was the book it came with. The print was beyond tiny and it did not explain how to assemble the sax. I had to go online for that.

There is a saying, you get what you pay for.Thing is, you sometimes have to make due with your budget. Reed instruments are a pretty niche case. This cheap saxophone is just that, Cheap. Just like my cheap clarinet, it's where you spend your time and money that counts. Toss the reeds and mouthpiece that ships with this to the storage for an emergency, investment in a Yamaha 3C mouthpiece and some quality reeds, and handle the instrument with care, and it will reward you for it. The intonnation is great, notes are within an acceptable range of sharp and flat variance, and unless you are a professional doing this for a living, this saxophone will work quite well for even moderate concerts.

This was a big purchase for our family. After just two months of my son using this saxophone the F key won’t work. One of the small black rods that make the keys work has bent out of shape and won’t pop back into place 😔

This is an initial impression review after unboxing. The reason for this early review is I am already dealing with a major issue. The color combination delivered is different from the combination I ordered. The color combination delivered would have been my 2nd or 3rd choice so it is not a totally unacceptable color combination for my intended use. So after careful consideration, I have decided to keep the wrong color sax. One reason for keeping it is…. Upon initial inspection, the sax finish and mechanisms look to be in good condition with proper function. That is a little surprising because the sax came in its soft case which was packaged in a larger cardboard box with no bubble wrap or packing material around the case. So the case flopped around inside the cardboard box anytime the box was picked up and moved. So having this sax in good condition is ok vs returning it and hoping the correct color replacement arrived undamaged. All the accessory items came as advertised plus a tube of cork grease which is not in the list of things in the kit. I will update this review after I set up the sax carefully, do a detailed inspection., and play it for awhile. In summary, except for the color error and careless Amazon packaging, the item initially seems to be a good quality, high value product.

The media could not be loaded. I love everything about this birthday gift to myself. 🥳 Out of the box this saxophone feels sturdy. I was able to get good tone and tune the instrument. The keys feel fabulous. The silver color is fire 🔥 My low G# sticks and has a small opening. Something to keep notice of. 👀 I even already name her Lizbeth Reed 😜 after my Mother 💕Cheers🥂
