This is for a box of 500 crystal clear polyolefin shrink bags in 4″x6″ size and 75 gauge. The opening is on the 4″ side. This size is great for soap, bubble bars & up to 2.5″ bath bombs. (For larger items, see our 6″x6.5″ bags.) We carry 5 sizes of polyolefin bags in total. ABOUT POLYOLEFIN: Polyolefin is a softer plastic than PVC. It shrinks without sharp edges and it’s ideal for bath & body products. Polyolefin protects products from the elements, dust and contamination, but your customers can still SMELL the product through the packaging. Just give your item 24 hours after shrinking to be able to smell it through the plastic. It takes a day or so for the scent to work it's way through the plastic. This plastic is FDA approved and considered food safe as well. It’s a great product and it’s what we use on all our soaps, bath bombs, bubbly bath bars and more. Sometimes we tie off the end and use it as a bag for items we don't want shrink wrapped. Polyolefin shrinks easily and without the noxious fumes of PVC. It’s the ideal shrink bag for bath stuff! INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Use an impulse sealer to seal the excess bag off, then shrink with a heat gun starting at the corners and seams, moving quickly so you don’t burn through. Don't focus heat on the flat surfaces or they'll burn through. Tighten seams and corners first and be quick over flat spots. It takes a little practice to figure it out, but the result is a clean, professional looking shrink wrap when you do! YouTube has videos that show how as well. TIP: We like Jorestech brand impulse sealers with the metal housing and Wagner 1200-1500watt heat guns. I'm glad to have found these bags as I was having ...
I have no trouble whatsoever shrink wrapping with these bags and I use high heat. The trick is to keep the heat gun moving at all times. I'm glad to have found these bags as I was having to have a tray of unwrapped soaps for customers to smell and now I can eventually do away with that. These make my soaps look professionally packaged and keeps them from getting damaged in transport when I take them to craft shows or ship them. A problem I had with heavier shrink wrap bags is that they would crush piped soap on the top of the bars, but with these bags not only do they not do that, but they also don't crush delicate dried rose buds. They form to the shape of soaps nicely. See photos.

Works great. Just wish they had more holes. The bag only has one hole that goes through the middle of the bag. Easy to shrink wrap, Very easy to work with. The do make my finished product look nice. I wish more smell would come through, thus wishing for more holes. :)

Great find Two Wild Hares!
These are great bags. But you will have to wait a bit for the bags to cool off before you can really smell through the plastic...like a day. It is a bit thinner than the regular shrink bags that I am used to getting, but overall great fit, and does what it says.

Works as shrink wrap but not smell through at all.
Thought I'd found the shrink wrap I was looking for cause it said "smell through" but it did not hold true to their advertising. Very disappointed.
